This study aimed to address this knowledge gap by providing a comprehensive and detailed database of the characteristics and compositions of the most commonly encountered agricultural residues in Vietnam and Ireland. The research encompassed the analysis of various aspects, including physical characteristics such as moisture content, bulk density, calorific value, volatile matter, fixed-carbon content, and ash content.

The study was carried out during 2013-14 in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh state to focus on the sugarcane growers regarding impact of knowledge on adoption level of IPM practices. The 80 contact farmers were selected as respondents. The study revealed that the maximum knowledge gap was found to be existing in previous crop residues, crop rotation, hand picking of the insect and their destruction, hot air and water treatment, light and pheromone trap, microbial control, use of natural enemies, resistant varieties, biopesticides/ bio-agents, application and dose of different pest etc.

Choking of seed drill during sowing of wheat generally occurs due to excessive soil moisture, weeds or agricultural residue present in the field. The developed monitoring system for detecting the choking of boot comprised three units: sensing unit, processing unit and alert unit. A direct incidence infrared (IR) emitter and IR receiver were selected for detecting choking of boots of a seed drill.

This paper solves some puzzles in the formalisation of logic for discontinuity in categorial grammar. A 'tuple' operation introduced in [Solias, 1992] is defined as a mode of prosodic combination which has associated projection functions, and consequently can support a property of unique prosodic decomposability. Discontinuity operators are defined model-theoretically by a residuation scheme which is particularly arnmenable proof-theoretically.

The design of b-glycosidases with planed substrate specificity for biotechnological application has received little attention. This is mostly a consequence of the lack of data on the molecular basis of the b-glycosidase specificity, namely data on the energy of the noncovalent interactions in the enzymetransition state complex. In an attempt to fill this gap, sitedirected mutagenesis and enzyme steady-state kinetic experiments with different substrates were conducted, using as model a digestive b-glycosidase (glycoside hydrolase family 1) from Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera) (Sfbgly50).

A genuine EMU needs a comprehensive approach to tackle the vicious circle of excessive private sector indebtedness, unsustainable sovereign debt and banking sector weakness. The EU lacks a global framework which fills in the gaps in a fully integrated financial services policy, with a single supervisory mechanism for banks and a single rule book to govern all financial institutions. It also needs to complete and implement the more effective mechanisms put forward to prevent and correct unsustainable fiscal policies and economic imbalances.

With regards to the samples of tomato, in crops were traditional practices were implemented, pesticide residues were found belonging to the chemical groups of OF (chlorpyrifos and phenthoate) and n-methyl carbamates (carbofuran and 3- hydroxycarbofuran), presenting the highest concentration of residues in OF. For plots with GAP the presence of residues of same pesticides n-methyl carbamates and chlorpyrifos was seen, being the only difference the finding of dimethoate.

A descriptive analysis by frequency counting, central trends measures and dispersion was made for those continuous type variables, as some of the variables inherent to laborers, and environmental and biological measurements. Continuous variables were transformed to normalize them. We also explored possible relationships between some variables and they were crossed by constructing contingency tables. We used the Student's t tests and chi square tests for the comparison of quantitative and categorical variables.

A descriptive cross section study was done including 132 laborers of the tomato crop in the location of la Merced – Caldas, during 2009 and 2010. This study considered three phases: the first was the diagnosis to determine the biomarkers for the chosen pesticides. An analysis was made on pesticides residues in tomatoes as well as the characterization of the present productive systems of the crop through a participating rural diagnosis.
