This research proposed a refinement of the ASA paradigm by incorporating the assimilation process of new hires into the new school culture and environment. This study employed a qualitative research approach by interviewing ten participants about the retention process from high teacher retention international schools in Malaysia.

The prime objective of this study is to examine the psychological effect of competition among banks on employee retention with the moderating effect of supply chain management. The population of the study was based on Indonesian banks. All the employee; managerial and nonmanagerial were selected as the respondents of the current study. Two hundred eight questionnaires were used to conduct a survey among Indonesian banks. Data were analyzed through structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using Partial Least Square (PLS) as a statistical tool.

This study has explored the impact of the community integration of ATDs (Australian Trained Doctors) and OTDs (Overseas Trained Doctors) in rural and remote communities on their quality of life (QOL) and its resultant effect on their retention by developing a model of research linking QOL as the intervening variable between community integration (the independent variable) and retention (the dependent variable). A national survey of 279 rural and remote GPs was conducted between September and December 2010.

The purpose of this study is to expand the understanding of IT student retention in Taiwan. Three objectives are proposed: (a) to identify at-risk students who are most likely to drop out; (b) to model Information System (IS) student retention; and (c) to inform intervention programs for at-risk students. The significance of this study is in serving to better inform faculties, staff and administrators of higher education institutions in turn to help strengthen the retention of IT students.

Computer-aided method-development programs require accurate models to describe retention and to make predictions based on a limited number of scouting gradients. The performance of five different retention models for hydrophilic-interaction chromatography (HILIC) is assessed for a wide range of analytes.

The applicability of models to describe peptide retention in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) was investigated. A tryptic digest of bovine-serum-albumin (BSA) was used as a test sample. Several different models were considered, including adsorption, mixed-mode, exponential, quadratic and Neue–Kuss models.

The ion-exchange and complex forming equilibria were quantitatively described and demonstrated in order to understand major factors in the control of selectivity in the analytical separation of carboxylic acids and inorganic anions in cryptand based ion chromatography. A complex retention model has been developed for the separation on a non-conventional IC column.

The use of scanning gradients can significantly reduce method-development time in reversed-phase liquid chromatography. However, there is no consensus on how they can best be used. In the present work we set out to systematically investigate various factors and to formulate guidelines.

Rapid optimization of gradient liquid chromatographic (LC) separations often utilizes analyte retention modelling to predict retention times as function of eluent composition. However, due to the dwell volume and technical imperfections, the actual gradient may deviate from the set gradient in a fashion unique to the employed instrument.

Here it was investigated how oligonucleotide retention and selectivity factors are affected by electrostatic and non-electrostatic interactions in ion pair chromatography. A framework was derived describing how selectivity depends on the electrostatic potential generated by the ion-pair reagent concentration, co-solvent volume fraction, charge difference between the analytes, and temperature.

Comprehensive two-dimensional liquid chromatography (LC×LC), is a powerful, emerging separation technique in analytical chemistry. However, as many instrumental parameters need to be tuned, the technique is troubled by lengthy method development. To speed up this process, we applied a Bayesian optimization algorithm.

Structural elucidation of compounds detected with liquid chromatography coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry is a challenging and time-consuming step in the workflow of non-targeted analysis and often requires manual validation of the results. Retention time, alongside exact mass, isotope pattern, fragmentation spectra, and collision cross-section, is valuable information for ruling out unlikely structures and increasing the confidence in others.

The prediction of chromatographic retention under supercritical-fluid chromatography (SFC) conditions was studied, using established and novel theoretical models over ranges of modifier content, pressure and temperature. Whereas retention models used for liquid chromatography often only consider the modifier fraction, retention in SFC depends much more strongly on pressure and temperature.

Support vector regression models are created and used to predict the retention times of oligonucleotides separated using gradient ion-pair chromatography with high accuracy. The experimental dataset consisted of fully phosphorothioated oligonucleotides. Two models were trained and validated using two pseudoorthogonal gradient modes and three gradient slopes.

We report here the improvement of a procedure to obtain global models, able to describe the retention behaviour of several sample components simultaneously. The reported global models include parameters that account for the general effects of column and solvent on retention and are common for all components, whereas other parameters are specific of each sample component.
