Nowadays, as the global population grows, the demand for food is also becoming higher each day. Together with the rise in food demand, Muscovy duck has been gradually bred industrially as a poultry food supply along with the chicken. The change from traditional to industrial breeding poses a potential risk of pathogenic bacteria infection and antimicrobial resistance bacteria.

Although salmonellosis is considered one of the most important food-borne zoonotic diseases in Europe, close contact between dogs and their owners can also be a potential source of Salmonella spp. for humans.

Dogs are one of the important asymptomatic carriers of antimicrobial resistant and potentially pathogenic strains of Salmonella. They can harbor large bacterial load in the intestines and mesenteric lymph nodes which can be shed in their feces with the possibility of transmission to humans.

Plants are well known as vectors for transmission of human enteric pathogens and exaggerate the outbreak events. Salmonella enterica, rod shaped, facultative anaerobic bacteria interferes with the microbial safety of raw vegetables. This study explored three sources: Village fields, Supermarkets and Street Vendors to ensure the microbial risk among seven raw vegetables (N=725). Water samples of the hand pumps sourced from village fields showed total coliforms >10ml-1 (75.6-98.5%) and faecal coliforms >10ml-1 (59.6-91.2%).

Foodborne illness still remains a major threat to public health. Among the various pathogens causing food borne outbreaks, Salmonella sps, Stapylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Campylobacter sps have been incriminated for majority of outbreak cases. Now – a – days consumption of minimally processed ready to eat (RTE) food products increases the risk of food borne diseases.

Salmonella is an enterobacterium present in the environment as well as in a large number of animals which, in most cases, serve as host asymptomatically. This bacterium is the leading cause of collective food poisoning in the world. In view of the expansion of salmonellosis in the world and the emergence of multi-resistant strains of Salmonella, this is a threat to human safety. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence rate of Salmonella and their antibiotic resistance profile, antibiotics often used in cattle breeding in the district of Abidjan.

Salmonella is a major foodborne bacterial pathogen responsible for millions of cases of infection and thousands of death in humans across the globe annually. Poultry and poultry products are considered to be the major source of Salmonella infection in humans. The economic loss caused by salmonellosis is very huge in case of poultry industry. Vaccination of the poultry is found to efficiently reduce the zoonotic risks associated with Salmonella infection.

Salmonellosis poses a high risk in the poultry birds and widely distributed worldwide. It results in huge economic loss and very difficult in control of disease. The clinical signs are reduced feed intake, droopiness, ruffled feathers, huddling of chicks and diarrhoea, dehydration, and mortality were reported. The morbid chicks were investigated for post mortem changes and gross lesions include livers were invariably enlarged, soft in consistency, congested and showed bronze discoloration.

Microorganisms play important roles in the recycling of agricultural wastes. Composting is the degradation of organic materials through the activities of diverse microorganisms. The compost generated by bioconversion of agro-residues offers several benefits such as enhanced soil fertility and soil health which can lead to increased agricultural productivity, improved soil biodiversity, reduced ecological risks and a healthier environment. This investigation examined the microbial community dynamics, loads and identification of microbiota at various stages of composting process.

Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) is an important solanaceous crop of sub-tropics and tropics. The Brinjal is being grown extensively in India. All vegetables have been known to serve as vehicles of human disease for at least a century. Vegetables can become contaminated with microorganisms capable of causing human diseases. This study was designed to determine the microbial load and prevalence of pathogens on surface of Brinjal in local market yards across Junagadh district.

Microbes are the sources of many food poisoning cases, usually due to improperly processed food and fruit juice separation by hand or juice mill. It is now commonly accepted that fruit juice consumption is a risk factor for infection with enteric pathogens. The trouble begins when certain bacteria and other harmful pathogens spores of multiply and spread in ubiquitous and environments. However, fruit juice Sample was collected from the various places of Kanpur, India and observed the highest microbial load in nutrient agar (4.3X107 ) viz., Shivrajpur, rose bengal chloramphenicol agar (2.
