Slant distribution

Slanted Soil Treatment System (SSTS) was previously designed for onsite greywater treatment. In this study, several configurations were tested with granitic gravel in order to improve its efficiency. The lowest average removal efficiencies for fecal coliforms, enterococci and E. coli were 1.78, 2.15 and 2.21 log u. respectively and originated from case 3 (length 3 m, width 20 cm, grain size in second box 1-4 mm).

Otomycosis is an acute, subacute or chronic fungal infection of the external auditory canal. It is worldwide in distribution with a higher prevalence in the hot, humid, and dusty areas of the tropics and subtropics. A wide variety of fungi can cause Otomycosis. In this study, our aim was to determine the most common mode of presentation, predisposing factors, and the spectrum of fungi involved in Otomycosis. 60 Ear discharge samples were collected aseptically using two sterile cotton swabs. One swab was used for direct microscopic examination and used for fungal culture.

In the present paper, we study hemi-slant submanifolds of a locally product Riemannian manifold. We prove that the anti-invariant distribution involved in the definition of hemi-slant submanifold is integrable and give some applications of this result.

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for a skew semi-invariant submanifold of order 1 to be a locally warped product. We also establish an inequality between the warping function and the squared norm of the second fundamental form for such submanifolds. The equality case is also discussed.

In this paper we introduce the notions of semi-slant and bi-slant submanifolds of an almost contact 3-structure manifold. We give some examples and characterization theorems about these submanifolds. Moreover, the distributions of semi-slant submanifolds of 3-cosymplectic and 3-Sasakian manifolds are studied.
