In this work, we design circular lattice photonic crystal fibers using Lumerical Mode Solution software, its hollow core filled with carbon tetrachloride. Optical properties including effective refractive index, chromatic dispersion, nonlinearity, and fiber loss were investigated numerically in detail based on solving Maxwell's wave equations.

This paper reviews Vietnam’s implementation of fiscal policies in response to climate change. The impact of tax and fee policies on greenhouse gas emission reduction is insignificant. Public spending on climate change adaptation primarily focuses on infrastructure projects to enhance resilience capacity, while the budget for mitigation activities only constitutes a small proportion.

So far, there are no effective, cheap, quick, and practicable methods for diagnosing SRBSDV. The conventional RT-PCR technique is the most popular method for detecting SRBSDV with high accuracy.

Germanium doped photonic crystal fibers with differences in the layers' air hole diameters in the cladding are presented to obtain flat dispersion, small effective mode area, and low attenuation property for supercontinuum generation applications. The flatness and small value of the dispersion depend on the lattice geometry when the fibers have the same germanium doping concentration.

This study assesses the positive effects of inter-planting Coffea arabica and Machilus odoratissima Nees over seven years in small-scale farms in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, Vietnam. Statistically significant differences in seed germination rate occurred between treatments. Growth indicators such as stem height, root length, and leaf area were measured after 14 d after treatment with water containing NBs. Land resources potential assessment is a valuable method for orienting land use planning in the world as well as in Vietnam. This study aimed to (1) assess land suitability and (2) orient the effective use of agricultural land in the study area. Results indicated that Ham Thuan Bac had 107 land mapping units (LMUs) with 11 main landuse types (LUTs) such as rice, cassava, vegetables, dragon fruit, and other trees. Agricultural land with high (S1) and moderate suitability (S2) for most LUTs was small; however, marginal (S3) and not suitability (N) lands were quite large.

Seawalls have been erected to protect hundreds of towns and tourism areas stretching along the coast of Vietnam. During storm surges or high tides, wave overtopping and splash-up would often threaten the safety of infrastructures, traffic and residents on the narrow land behind. In Vadavathur village, small onion is cultivated in two main seasons viz., Early kharif and Rabi in an area of 425 ha with a productivity of 14 tonnes / ha. Small onion is mainly affected by dew drops during the month of November to January, where the minimum temperature falls between 12 to 140C for 17 days and caused tip drying. Presence of dew drops in tip of onion leaf sheath for a long time may lead to death of terminal leaf tissue resulted in tip drying and also reduction in yield of 0.7 to 2 tonnes / ha.

The application of the muti nozzle cross flow turbine as a power plant in remote areas that is not affordable by electricity supply and transportation is very effective and suitable in rural areas that utilize the potential energy of water as a small and large scale energy source. The results of research on the use of multi-nozzle cross flow turbines are able to produce turbine power of 5.011 kWatt as a driving generator that produces 4.259 kWatt of electric power, strongly supporting the provision of electrical energy for remote areas.

The increase in population and reduction of available land and water resources are major concern for agriculture to meet food requirement. The possible growth in agriculture can be achieved by increasing productivity through soil, water and nutrient management supported by an effective use of modern technology like nanotechnology. The small size, high specific surface area and reactivity of nano fertilizers compared to bulk fertilizers may increase the solubility, diffusion and availability of nutrients to plants and enhance crop productivity.

Fowlpox virus (FWPV) and Pigeonpox virus (PGPV) isolates from domesticated fowls and pigeons from Jammu region were inoculated on chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) of chicken embryonated eggs (CEE) through three passage levels to observe their cytopathic effects (CPE) and underlying pathology. Development of PGPV induced lesions was earlier than FWPV, and more severe. PGPV progressed from small white opaque lesions from first passage; to CAM thickening, haemorrhages and very prominent and extensive pock lesions at second; and by third passage, focal areas of necrosis was evident.

The objective of this study is to measure the floristic diversity in coffee agroforests and adjoining forests as well to know the effect of different landholding sizes of coffee farms in Kodagu district, Western Ghats of Karnataka.
