In the current paper, we investigate the application of the Equivalent Generalized Perturbation Theory (EGPT) to derive trends and associated covariances on the neutron capture cross section of one major fission product for both light water reactors and sodium-cooled fast reactors which is Rhodium-103.

An effective and expeditious method of the synthesis of a highly functionalized piperidines, catalyzed by nontoxic, recyclable and environment friendly sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), via one-pot multi-component condensation of aldehydes, amines and β-ketoesters in water at room temperature, has been developed.

The effect ofb-lactoglobulin encapsulation in sodium bis (2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate reverse micelles on the envi-ronment of protein and on Trp was analysed at different water contents (x0).CDdataunderlined thedistortionof the b-sheet and a less constrained tertiary structure as the x0 increased, in agreement with a concomitant red shift and a decrease in the signal intensity obtained in steady-state fluorescence measurements.

Sodium 2-propenyl thiosulfate, a water-soluble organo-sulfane sulfur com-pound isolated from garlic, induces apoptosis in a number of cancer cells. The molecular mechanism of action of sodium 2-propenyl thiosulfate has not been completely clarified. In this work we investigated, byin vivo and in vitro experiments, the effects of this compound on the expression and activity of rhodanese.
