The indicators of climate change in Central Europe, Hungary is showing a trend of decrease in rainfall, increase in temperature and especially extreme weather that is becoming more usual and unpredictable. The current study presents the application of the MIKE SHE model to examine the role of unsaturated soil settings and the effects of climate change on various hydrological parameters and water balance components.

Quantitative analysis of geomorphometric parameters of Ozat river basin using remote sensing and GIS
The present investigation intends to examinations the morphometric attributes of Ozat River basin to comprehend the hydrogeological behavior and influence on hydrology of the basin. The basic and derived morphometric parameters (linear, areal and relief aspects of drainage network) for the basin were determined using ASTER DEM (30 m resolution),remotely sensed images of Linear Imaging Self Scanner III (LISS III) and Geographic Information System (GIS).

In this study, performance of semi-distributed hydrologic model, namely Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), was evaluated for hydrologic cycle simulation in the Cong Watershed.. The model parameters were calibrated and validated using meteorological data observed at five gauges and runoff data observed at Tan Cuong Station between 1961 and 1975.

Soil management techniques can definitely influence soil quality, and particularly soil organic matter content, biological complexity, structure, and water holding capacity. Tillage may also have a negative effect by increasing erosion and organic matter oxidation processes, which have unavoidable repercussions on fertility.
