The aim of this study was to investigate the photocatalytic activity improving of TiO2, Ag-TiO2 as photocatalysts which immobilized on perlite granules to degrade MB from synthetic wastewater under solar light irradiation. The photocatalytic mechanisms induced by solar light responsive Ag-TiO2/perlite composite was also proposed to demonstrate the photodegradation of MB cationic dye.

Wet periods are evidenced by dark olive green mixed lithology (sandy, clay, and silts) and high values in MS and log(Sr/Ca). On the other hand, dry periods are associated with light olive green clayey mud lithology and high values in log(Ca/K). We relate the wet periods to negative North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO–) and the dry periods to NAO+. Additionally, all wet periods are related with time of low solar activity and dry periods, except Dalton Minimum, are related with periods of high solar activity.

In this article, looks at the teaching methods of a grade 12 project-based learning (PBL) physics course in solar energy as a part of a sustainable development (SD) curriculum. It was shown that discussions about solar cooking and natural resources projects put many important ideas into students’ heads indicating an effective improvement of PBL and education for SD in schools.

Chemical doping nitrogen in to TiO2 crystal network by methods of sol-gel and impregnation was presented. The obtained nitrogen-doped TiO2 materials were characterized by different techniques such as XRD, SEM, UV-VIS. It was shown that samples have very uniform nano size, anatas structure and low level of band-gap energy (Ebg ~ 2.2 eV, ~ 500 - 600 nm). Their activity and kinetic were also studied and the results proved that in comparison with P25, the obtained nitrogen-doped TiO2 had higher activity and photo-quantum efficiency in organic disintegrated reaction under solar radiation.
