  • The novelty of the paper is that we have succeeded in deriving the L 1 − L 1 estimates for solutions to (0.1) in general cases of σ > 1 without any constraint condition to space dimensions, i.e. our results are valid for any n ≥ 1.

  • This research focuses on the observer-based controller of a balancing robot. Firstly, the dynamic model of the robot is inferred. The uncertainty of the model parameters is then introduced as constraints in state space. Practically, it is very difficult to measure state variables as velocity and acceleration.

  • This paper focuses on a method of designing PD controller for a balancing robot-cart. The uncertainty of model parameters was introduced as constraints in state space. PD controller was designed through choosing Lyapunov function which was transformed by Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov lemma, a basic theoretical method based on frequency criterion.

  • The use of ground-based robotic systems for the characterisation of nuclear environments is reviewed. Almost since the dawn of the nuclear energy industry, man has somewhat inadvertently created environments in which access has been constrained primarily due to the risk posed by extreme levels of radiation exposure but also due to space constraints, and because of toxic and combustible atmospheres.

  • The general constrained extremum problem is studied, in this paper, for which the given cone with its interior being empty. Making use of the Lagrange duality theory with a class of regular weak separation functions in the image space, i.e., the space where the images of the objective and constraint functions run, a sufficient optimality condition for a global minimum point of that problem is presented.

  • Mammalian genomes contain millions of putative regulatory sequences, which are delineated by binding of multiple transcription factors. The degree to which spacing and orientation constraints among transcription factor binding sites contribute to the recognition and identity of regulatory sequence is an unresolved but important question that impacts our understanding of genome function and evolution.

  • In this paper we propose results on zero duality gap in vector optimization problems posed in a real locally convex Hausdorff topological vector space with a vector-valued objective function to be minimized under a set and a convex cone constraint. These results are then applied to linear programming.

  • Inferring gene networks from high-throughput data constitutes an important step in the discovery of relevant regulatory relationships in organism cells. Despite the large number of available Gene Regulatory Network inference methods, the problem remains challenging: The underdetermination in the space of possible solutions requires additional constraints that incorporate a priori information on gene interactions.

  • In order to improve the accuracy of constraint-based metabolic models, several approaches have been developed which intend to integrate additional biological information. Two of these methods, MOMENT and GECKO, incorporate enzymatic (kcat) parameters and enzyme mass constraints to further constrain the space of feasible metabolic flux distributions.

  • System of Rice Intensification (SRI) with weed management is an imperative to convince the today’s crop production in a sustainable way. Due to scarcity of water and energy, the weed competition is going to be the major constraint in achieving higher production in transplanted rice. System of Rice Intensification (SRI) is a six components like young seedlings transplanted at wider spacing using, use of organics, conoweeding and saturation moisture package aimed at realizing higher rice production using less inputs especially, seed, water and fertilizers.

  • The study was conducted during 2018-19 in Mandya district of Karnataka State, India. The pre-tested interview schedule was used to collect the data from 120 Seasamum growers through personal interview method. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using percentages, correlation and regression. As high as 44.17 per cent of Seasamum growers belonged to medium level adoption category, 35.00 per cent to low adoption category and 20.83 per cent belonged to high adoption category.

  • Magnetorheological (MR) brakes, owing to their quick response, are being investigated as a possible candidate for substitution for the conventional hydraulic brakes of road vehicles. The MR brake system for a two-wheeler application was envisaged in this article. Based on analytical equations, the system was modelled in the MATLAB Simulink environment. The braking performance of the system in terms of the stopping distance was estimated with the help of the model. The output from the model was compared with the Indian Standard (IS) automotive brake standard requirement for two-wheelers.

Empirical results suggest that personalization has a positive influence on perceived usefulness and habit, but does not directly influence continuance intention. The results of the case study indicate consistently that there is a need to archive and re-access past course materials with personalized content, but different constraints (e.g.

  • In this study, first we show the role of nonlinear state space equations in modeling the standard TS, a suitable transformation is then devised to convert this model to linear switching state space (LS3) equations with nonlinear constraints, and then the most important aspects of a control-based system – the stability, controllability, observability and stabilizability – for the proposed method is analytically proven.
