Seven known compounds, including two neolignans, four lignans, and one flavane were isolated from the methanol extract of Pandanus tonkinenis fruits. Their structures were determined to be ficusal, vladinol F, medioresinol, syringaresinol, lariciresinol, secoisolariciresinol, and luteoliflavan by analysis of MS and NMR data as well as by comparison of their spectral data with those reported in the literature.

From propolis of Lepidotrigona ventralis stingless bee collected in Tuyen Quang province, eight compounds were isolated and determined as lantanolic acid, moronic acid, (+)-eudesmin, (+)-yangambin, (+)-syringaresinol, (+)-pinoresinol, dihydroconiferyl alcohol and vanillin using NMR and MS spectral data. Compounds 1 and 2 showed significant cytotoxicity against HepG-2 cancer cell line with IC50 values of 25.84±0.48 and 39.92±1.14 ug/mL, respectively.

Phytochemical study of Knema pachycarpa leaves led to the isolation of ten compounds. Their chemical structures were determined as (7''R, 8''R)-hydnocarpin D, (7''R, 8''R)-hydnocarpin, sinaicitin, (-)-globulol, β-caryolanol, phytol, biochanin A, chrysoeriol, tanoside II and astragalin using NMR and MS spectral data. Among the isolates, (7''R, 8''R)-hydnocarpin showed good cytotoxic activity against KB, HepG-2, Lu and MCF-7 cancer cell lines with IC50 values from 13.99±0.62 ug/mL to 30.65±1.44 ug/mL.

wo germacranolide sesquiterpenes, 9β-acetoxy-3-epi-nobilium, zoapatanolide B and four benzoate ester derivatives, benzyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6-methoxybenzoate, benzyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6- hydroxybenzoate, methyl 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosylbenzoate, ficuside G were isolated from aerial part of Sigesbeckia orientalis. Structural elucidation of the isolated compounds was done using a combination of HR-ESI-MS, one-dimensional and two-dimensional NMR spectral methods, and comparison their spectral data with the previous literature.

The purpose of the study "Monitoring surface water bodies changes from sentinel-2A imagery with modified normalized difference water index: Application in Dalat, Lam Dong, Viet Nam" is to identify surface water body changes using Sentinel-2 MSI (Multi-Spectral Instrument) data, one of the latest types of remote sensing satellite data. The results of the research show that by using Sentinel-2 MSI imagery, MNDWI (Modified Normalized Water Index) is the appropriate parameter to detect surface water areas in the studied area, with an overall accuracy > 0.92 and Kappa coefficient > 0.84.

Their chemical structures were determined as 8-hydroxy eriodictyol (1), (2S)-7-hydroxy-3′,4′-methylenedioxideflavan (2), sitostenone (3), protocatechuic acid (4), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (5) and vanillin (6) using NMR and MS spectral data. Among the isolated compounds, compounds 1 and 3-6 were reported for the first time from the genus Knema.

Hu (Sapindaceae), we isolated three known phenolic compounds: 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde (1), methyl 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate (2), and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (3). In this study, we have carried out the probabilistic seismic hazard analysis in Hanoi based on the latest seismotectonic data. The seismic hazard map shows peak ground acceleration values on rock corresponding to the 10% probability of exceedance in a 50-year time period (approximately return periods of 500 years).
