The present study focused on ETL based application of 3 insecticides imidacloprid 17.8 SL, spinosad 45 SC and carbofuran 3G, one botanical, Nimbicidine @ 0.03% EC and mechanical method of clipping infected shoots and fruits after every 10 days interval during Kharif 2017 and 2018.

Different combinations of insecticides were tested on cowpea crop against cowpea pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera) during 2012-2014 at different time intervals and revealed that lowest H. armigera population was recorded in the treatment of imidacloprid 17.8 SL in combination with spinosad 45 SC (0.57 larva/plant).

The relative toxicity of different insecticides against adult of Propylea sp. showed that novaluron 10 EC 0.0075 per cent was slightly harmful to adults of Propylea sp. A field trial was conducted during Rabi, 2015-16 and Kharif, 2016 cropping seasons. An attempt was made to find out the cost effective management schedule to minimize the crop loss. Seven insecticides viz., Fipronil5% SC@800ml/ha, Indoxacarb 14.5% SC@400ml/ha, Acephate 75 SP@0.1%, Spinosad 45%SC@160ml/ha, Imidacloprid 17.8% SL@0.003%, Fenvalerate 20EC@500ml/ha and Carbofuran 3G@30Kg/ha were evaluated against vector activity to reduce the leaf curl disease incidence.

The present experiment was conducted on 120 male broiler chicks which were divided into six groups of 20 each. Group 1 served as control, group 2 treated with imidacloprid @ 50 ppm in feed, group 3 was treated with spinosad @ 1000 ppm in feed, group 4 was treated with imidacloprid @ 50 ppm and spinosad @ 1000 ppm in feed, group 5 was treated with imidacloprid @ 50 ppm, spinosad @ 1000 ppm and Vitamin E @ 20 ppm in feed and group 6 was treated with imidacloprid @ 50 ppm, spinosad @ 1000 ppm and silymarin @ 1000 ppm in feed. The experiment was carried out for 4 weeks.

In order to study the effects of repeated use of various insecticides on thrips and their natural enemies viz., Ladybird beetle and Predatory spiders, an experiment was conducted during Kharif, 2018-19at the Experimental farm, Department of Agricultural Entomology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani. The insecticides selected included those used commonly among the farmers viz., Imidacloprid 17.

Combined soil application of Bio NPK and pesticides either simultaneous and sequential can enhanced plant growth parameters effectively and most of the pesticides tested viz. Profenofos 50% EC, Spinosad 45% SC, Dichlorvos 76% EC, Imidacloprid 30.5% EC, Fipronil 5% SC, Chlorpyrifos 20% EC, Pyraclotrobin 20% WG, Ridomil 68% WP, Quizalofop 5% EC and Finoxaprop 9% EC found safe to beneficial bacteria at the field recommended dose exhibiting no reduction of bacterial population compared with untreated control.

Chilli is an economically important and widely cultivated crop of India. Chilli leaf curl disease complex is one of the major limiting factors in chilli production which is drastically decrease yield. The crop grown in Jharkhand usually suffers seriously from this disease.
