The effects of mycological media and temperature on mycelial growth and spore production of three fungal pathogens recently reported on Ricinodendron heudelotii were investigated. The pathogens were identified on the basis of the ITS sequences of their ribosomal DNA as Pestalotiopsis microspora (isolate PMHP_109L), Lasiodiplodia theobromae (isolate LTHP_110L) and Fusarium oxysporum (isolates FOBR_164S, FOBR_049L and FOHP_121L).

Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis was isolated from wilt infected lentil plant samples were collected from the field of AICRP on MULLaRP at Agriculture Research Station, Ummedganj, (Kota). In epidemiological studies, mycelium growth and sporulation by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis was significantly influenced with media, temperature and pH level. Maximum colony diameter (90.00 mm) recorded on oat meal agar (Hi-media) medium, which was statistically at par with potato dextrose agar (Hi-media) yielded 88.57 mm colony diameter, Both the media support excellently sporulation by pathogen.

Present research was carried out to study the effect of different culture media, temperature and pH on mycelia growth, sporulation, fresh weight and dry mycelial weight of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. udum. Among seven culture media that were tested, the fungus grew the best on PDA and Czapek’s Dox agar media. The most suitable pH level for growth of fungus was 6.0 and 7.0 with excellent sporulation. Growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. udum was maximum at 30˚C after seven days of inoculation, which was reduced drastically below 20˚C and above 30˚C.

Pea is one of the most important rabi pulse crops of India. Pea is being rich in protein are valuable for vegetable purpose. Fourteen isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.pisi from different districts of Manipur were studied for its cultural, morphological and pathogenic variability. The mycelia colour varied from white to light pink, purple and pale yellow colour. The radial growth of the isolates ranged from 5.4cm to 8.9cm at 8 days after inoculation at 26±10 0C in 90mm petriplates. Sporulation of all isolates showed moderate to profuse.

On the basis of cultural, morphological, molecular characteristics and pathogenicity test, the fungus was confirmed as F. oxysporum Schlechtend. Fr. f. sp. ciceri (Padwick) Matuo and K. Sato. The pathogenic nature of fifteen isolates tested on chickpea wilt susceptible cultivar JG-62, two isolate (Char, Choki) were found non-pathogenic gave zero per cent disease incidence (PDI), while one isolate (Chittal) found highly pathogenic with 100 per cent PDI which was further used for molecular identification and screening of agro-chemicals.
