The paper "Evaluate the effectiveness of LoRa Network for data collection" evaluates the performance of the LoRa network at long distances under different spatial conditions. For the coverage and propagation speed requirements of the LoRa, a set of LoRa parameters including Spread Factor and Bandwidth calibrated properly is very important. The quality of the LoRa Network depends not only on the distance but also on the terrain and obstacles in the signal propagation process.

Bone tumors are often treated with intralesional curettage. High-speed burring, an adjuvant therapy, was performed to maximize the tumor cell killing; however, tumor recurrence might still occur, which may be caused by residual tumor or local tumor spread during surgery.

Self-organization of nodes in mobile ad hoc networks using evolutionary games and genetic algorithms
In this paper, we present a distributed and scalable evolutionary game played by autonomous mobile ad hoc network (MANET) nodes to place themselves uniformly over a dynamically changing environment without a centralized controller. A node spreading evolutionary game, called NSEG, runs at each mobile node, autonomously makes movement decisions based on localized data while the movement probabilities of possible next locations are assigned by a forced-based genetic algorithm (FGA).

This paper studies the spreading speed for a lattice differential equation with infinite distributed delay and we find that the spreading speed coincides with the minimal wave speed of traveling waves. Here the model has been proposed to describe a single species living in a 1D patch environment with infinite number of patches connected locally by diffusion.

Personal Area Network (PAN) – interconnection of personal digital devices Neighborhood Area Network (NAN) – connectivity spread over several buildings Local Area Network (LAN) – usually connects computers in a single building – this is the one most people have heard of Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) – public high-speed network with range of about 50 miles Wide Area Network (WAN) – consists of several smaller networks

According to Strabo, a water powered mill was built in Kaberia of the kingdom of Mithridates during the 1st century BC. Use of water wheels in mills spread throughout the Roman Empire over the next few centuries. Some were quite complex, with aqueducts, dams, and sluices to maintain and channel the water, along with systems of gears, or toothed-wheels made of wood and metal to regulate the speed of rotation. In a poem by Ausonius in the 4th century AD, he mentions a stone-cutting saw powered by water. Hero of Alexandria is credited with many such wind and steam powered...

Radio Transmission Systems Mamoru Sawahashi 2.1 Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) 2.1.1 Principles of DS-CDMA DS-CDMA is a radio-access technology that enables multiple access based on a spread spectrum system. Figure 2.1a shows how DS-CDMA works [1–3]. The transmitted data sequence is spread across the spectrum after being encoded by spreading codes, each of which is assigned uniquely to each user at a higher rate than the symbol rate of the information data. [Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) spreads the information data over a 5 MHz band per carrier.
