The present study was carried out to learn the trends in area and production of jasmine in Andhra Pradesh, India for a period of twenty years i.e., from 1998-1999 to 2017-2018.

Cashew is known as ‘maintenance free’ crop and the recommended package of practices are not followed and this leads to low yield. The study is based on secondary data and analyzed by using standard statistical tools like arithmetic mean and coefficient of variation, compound growth rates and graphical representations to draw the overview of trends in area, production and productivity of cashew in India. Both area and production of cashew has been increasing and finally productivity in the country.

Climate change and agriculture are interrelated processes, both of which take place on a global scale. The study was undertaken to identify the trend in weather parameters in Malaprabha Command Area (MCA). The research was based on secondary data of nineteen years (1999 to 2017) on different weather parameters such as precipitation, temperature, relative humidity and potential evapotranspiration obtained from the Irrigation Water Management Research Centre, Belavatgi under UAS, Dharwad.

The present study initiates and analyzes the growth trends in area, production and productivity of sugarcane crop, measure the variability of sugarcane crop at the district levels in Bihar. The data obtained from secondary sources for the period of 42 years beginning from 1970-71 to 2011-12 and analyze by using simple descriptive statistics, CAGR (compound annual growth rate). Out of 38 districts of Bihar six major sugarcane growing districts have been selected on the basis of percentage area and production of sugarcane.

Groundnut (Arachis hypogea L.,) is one of the world’s important crops, ranking fifth in oil production. Groundnut seed is a rich food source providing quality vegetable oil (48%-50%), protein (26%-28%), dietary fibre, minerals and vitamins. Total world production of Groundnut was 47 million tonnes from 27 million hectares. In Andhra Pradesh Groundnut is cultivated in 7.35 lakh hectares with 10.43 lakh tonnes production and 1426 kg/ha productivity. The Groundnut area of YSR district is decreasing and same trend reflected in production and productivity also.

Since the late 1980s, Vietnam has experienced rapid industrialization and urbanization, which led to the acquisition of a large number of farmland in peri-urban areas for non-agricultural purposes. Farmland loss is indeed a burning topic that attracts attention from administrators, policy maker and the media. This paper investigates the relation between the agricultural land loss and income of households. Our research provides an econometric analysis of the impact of agricultural land due to urbanization and industrialization on household incomes in Viet Tri‟s peri-urban areas, Vietnam.

In a detailed descriptive analysis, temporal trends in disease incidence and distribution were examined according to patient age, sex, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, urban versus rural dwelling, region (health board area), and season. Case-patients were assigned rurality and deprivation scores on the basis of their home domicile. For rurality assignment, we used a Statistics New Zealand classification system, which defines 7 grades of rurality on the basis of population size and employment address (18).
