Strawberry cv Camarosa

Temperature extremes represent an important limiting factor to plant growth and productivity. The present study evaluated the effect of hydroponic pretreatment of strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa cv. ‘Camarosa’) roots with an H2S donor, sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS; 100 μM for 48 h), on the response of plants to acute heat shock treatment (42°C, 8 h).

The present study was conducted during 2013- 2014 to find out the effect of induced mutation on in vivo growth parameters in „Camarosa‟ strawberry by following CRD factorial design. For the induction of variation explants (Runner tips, shoot tips and leaf disc) were subjected to different concentrations (0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3% and 0.4%) of EMS along with control for various treatment durations (1.5 hr, 2.5 hr and 3.5 hr).

The trial was conducted in the year 2017 to show the physical and biochemical properties of strawberry cv. Camarosa by the treatment of chitosan, calcium chloride and low temperature storage (2 ̊C). Biochemical properties (T. S. S., Titrable acidity, anthocyanins, antioxidant and ascorbic acid) and organoleptic score of strawberry fruits were recorded at storage temperature (2 °C) after per harvest treatment with chitosan and calcium chloride.

The field experiment was carried out at the permanent experimental field of horticulture garden, Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour, Bhagalpur during 2018-2019 for the Effectiveness of plant growth regulators on vegetative growth of strawberry cv. Camarosa. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications having nine treatments such as: T1 (GA3 @ 100 ppm), T2 (GA3 @ 150 ppm), T3 (GA3 @ 200 ppm), T4 (GA3 @ 250 ppm), T5 (NAA @ 100 ppm), T6 (NAA @ 100 ppm), T7 (NAA @ 100 ppm), T8 (NAA @ 100 ppm) and T9 (control) at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after transplanting.
