Structural defects

Investigating the occurrence of defects in structures is currently a major issue of significant interest. In this paper, we present experimental research findings on the relationship between the moments of the power spectrum and the presence of damage in bridge beam structures.

In this work, we have shown that the addition of Zn to nanocrystalline nickel ferrite enhanced its H2 sensing properties, such as sensitivity, response time, and stability. This is explained due to the formation of defects and oxygen vacancies in the crystal structure due to the substitution of Zn ions in place of Ni ions. These defects generated more active sites for H2 gas to interact with, resulting in improved sensing performance.

The role of complex surface defect on the magnet at the (110) surface of bismuth sodium titanate (Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3) was discussed based on the first-principles calculation. The first-principle calculations for various types of surface defects exhibited the existence of magnetic moments for selected chemical and position defects.

We measured the electrical resistivity in the temperature range from 2K to 300K to study some information of nano crystal structure for the rare earths. The electrical resistivity follows the Matthiessen’s rule with five contributions. The contribution of electron–electron scattering is dominant at low temperature for the strongly correlated electron system.

Anterolateral thigh flap (ALT flap) is first found and used by Song in 1984. Classified in the perforator type flaps, ALT flaps is blood supplied by the perforators of the descending branch of the lateral circumflex thigh artery.
