In addition, the displacement field of THSDT needs the high continuity in approximated formulation with high-order derivatives for a weak form of fourth order equation. According to IGA formulation based on the generalized THSDT, the shear locking phenomenon is free. The variables of THSDT are less than HSDTs which contain five DOFs per node. The influences of weight fractions, the coefficient porosity, dispersion patterns of GPLs and distribution types of porosity on structure’s natural frequencies are studied through some numerical examples.

This paper sought to examine the effects of training on corporate financial performance of commercial banks. The paper was informed by the Resource-Based Theory, Human Capital Theory and Agency theory. Explanatory research design was adopted. The target population was 869 Employees from 42 commercial banks operating in Kenya according to the CBK supervisory report in 2014. 267employees were selected using Simple random sampling method. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Cronbach alpha was used to test Reliability, while factor analysis was used to test validity.

This article presents an approach to assess safety levels of structures. A new formula for determining the fuzzy reliability of structures is proposed for the case where the set of loading effect and set of structural durability are general fuzzy sets. Illustration example concerning the bending strength evaluation of a simple-beam structure, is presented with the choice of triangular fuzzy sets for loading effect and structural durability.

Automatic sprinklers are highly effective and reliable elements of total system designs for fire protection in buildings. In 2003-2007, sprinklers operated in 93% of all reported structure fires large enough to activate sprinklers, excluding buildings under construction and buildings without sprinklers in the fire area. When sprinklers operate, they are effective 97% of the time, resulting in a combined performance of operating effectively in 91% of all reported fires where sprinklers were present in the fire area and fire was large enough to activate them.

We use a reliably annotated corpus to compare metrics of coherence based on Centering Theory with respect to their potential usefulness for text structuring in natural language generation. Previous corpus-based evaluations of the coherence of text according to Centering did not compare the coherence of the chosen text structure with that of the possible alternatives.
