Especially, active metals require the modification maximum to escape the natural corrosion or passivation. The retention of sound performance of the metals as well as extension of their lifetime can be achieved by surface modification of coating formation. Chemical coating is one of the simple and low-cost methods of coating with great versatility including pre-treatment and post-treatment. This paper includes the most widely used inorganic and organic chemical coating methods and their fewer details and their future outlooks.

This review summarizes the literature on the preventive and curative options for the control and treatment of histomoniasis. Two main approaches to the prophylaxis of the disease were found, which included chemotherapies and plant substrate products. Histostat-50 and paromomycin were the only available drugs that showed antihistomonal activity despite some concern about their threat to human health and antibiotic resistance. None of the plant substrate products provided potential protection to birds against blackhead disease.

The aim of the research was isolation of efficient cellulolytic bacterial strains from soil samples and comparative assessment of their cellulolytic potential on untreated and pre-treated cellulosic wastes namely sugarcane bagasse, groundnut shell, corn cob, and vegetable peel so as to determine a suitable substrate pre-treatment for cellulolytic enzyme production. The substrates were pretreated with 0.5% NaOH (alkali treatment) and 0.

Mushrooms are large reproductive structures of edible fungi belonging to Basidiomycotina. They are non-green and spore-bearing fruiting bodies of fungi which produced above ground on soil or on its food source (substrate). Blue oyster mushroom (Hypsizygus ulmarius) is one of the important edible mushroom and it was introduced for commercial production for the first time in India by Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore (KN).

Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) represents a promising candidate for fuel ethanol production in tropical countries because of their high availability and high biomass yield. Bioconversion of such biomass to bioethanol could be wisely managed through proper technological approach. In this work, water hyacinth was used as a substrate for bioethanol production by the use of thermophiles. Water hyacinth was pretreated with sulfuric acid (1 M) and sodium hydroxide (1M) for release of free sugars.

Ethanol production is also known as ethanolic fermentation in which sugars of biomaterials are converted into the ethanol and carbon hydroxide that may called as coproduct of fermentation. In general fermentation is a bio-chemical process where decomposition of biomaterials takes place. During bio-chemical reduction the sugar compounds like sucrose, fructose, glucose and lactose are converted into the ethyl ethanol and CO2 as by product of the fermentation process.

Lignocellulosic material is one of the substances resistant to degradation. The cellulose and lignin present in these materials have high molecular weight, structurally complex material consisting of various biologically stable linkages which are unable to breakdown. The utilization of biological method to degrade lignocellulose waste materials has been very effective and ecofriendly method. The present study was aimed to isolate lignocellulosic waste degrading bacterial and fungal strains from different organic sources.

Bergapten has long been used in combination with ultraviolet A irradiation to treat depigmentation disorder. However, extremely low bergapten contents in plants and difficulties in synthesizing bergapten have limited its application. Here, we developed an alternative bergapten-production method. We first determined the crystal structures of bergaptol O-methyltransferase from Peucedanum praeruptorum (PpBMT) and the ternary PpBMT–S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine (SAH)–bergaptol complex to identify key residues involved in bergaptol binding.

Ge is a potential candidate for the realization of Si-based light sources that are compatible with CMOS technology. Electron doping in Ge is an efficient method to modify its band gap structure to enhance the radiative recombination of Ge film. Post growth thermal treatment is a necessary step to activate the dopants and ameliorate the film’s crystal quality.

The optimal conditions were obtained by the Circumscribed Central Composite design method using the Modde 5.0 software. Optimal values for this process were found at pH9, ratio of material to buffer 1:9 (wmaterial/vbuffer), temperature 47.34 oC, and time within 9.2 minute. After ultrasound treatment, hydrolysis using the enzyme Alcalase was performed under the following conditions: ratio enzyme to substrate 4 % (v/w), temperature 55 oC, and time 60 minutes.
