The study examine relationship between implementing ERP systems on the boosting of the organizational performance, in addition, to examine the mediating role of agile supply chain approach to achieve the targeted performance enhancements in manufacturing listed firms in Amman Stock Exchange (ASE). The study population entails all manufacturing listed firms in Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), particularly the top retail firms operate in the Jordanian market constitutes of firms.

This paper studies the connection between CEO experience and Vietnamese listed firms’ capital adjustment behavior. In the context of Vietnam, we find that experienced CEOs slow down the speed of obtaining the desired ratio of debt, after analyzing a sample of 694 public companies from 2010 to 2019.

This study investigates the impact of policy uncertainty on stock liquidity in Vietnam’s M&A market. Using a comprehensive sample of M&A acquisition deals over the 2005- 2020 period, we find that policy uncertainty is negatively associated with stock liquidity of target firms, indicating that firms should increase their information disclosure to improve the information environment during periods of increased asymmetric information due to policy uncertainty.

This study enhances the understanding of imperfect factor markets by examining the impact of country-level factors on takeover location decisions and the gains to target firms. The results suggest that the likelihood that a completed deal is a cross-border acquisition rather than a domestic acquisition is higher for target countries with lower government quality, weaker investor protection, stronger restrictions on capital mobility, lower corporate tax rates, and more depreciated currencies.

This research examines the determinants of the choice between two popular international entry modes, namely acquisitions and joint ventures, of investors in the Vietnamese market. We proposed seven factors at country-, industry-, and firm-levels that can have an impact on this investment decision. These factors include cultural distance, economic growth, industry relatedness, resource access speed, investing experience, deal size and target company structure.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of cross-country characteristics on acquirers’ target status choice in cross-border mergers and acquisitions across 41 emerging markets. The paper first reviews the existing literature and develops the related hypotheses, in conjunction with the objectives of this paper. We then describe the data employed, variable measurement and examine the effects of cross-country characteristics on the acquirers’ target status choice in cross-border mergers and acquisitions while controlling for firm-level and deal-specific characteristics.

This research is an empirical research studying the effect of the auditor tenure on audit quality. The research adopts the positivist stance and deductive approach, employing quantitative method to study the relationship between audit rotation and audit quality. Specifically, the Chinese audit market will be targeted where the policy was implemented in 2004. Stock return can be one of the representations of a company’s performance in investment. This study aims at investigating the factors determining the stock return of the largest users of energy production of oil, gas and coal classified in the manufacturing companies at Indonesia’s Stock Exchange for the period of 2016-2018. It involved 134 companies classifies as the largest users of energy production of oil, gas and coal classified as the manufacturing entries in IDX that were used as the target of the population and all were selected for the sample of this study.

This study adopts descriptive research design and embraced secondary data from 2007 to 2017 from a target population of 67 listed firms. It was found that there existed a relationship between fundamental anomalies and firms’ financial distress. The study recommends that the management should put in place the right dividend policies, declaration or nondeclaration of dividends in the treatment of dividends. For policy makers and regulators, the recommendations will assist in restoring law and order and this will enable all the stakeholders to have confidence in Nairobi Securities Exchange.

The study suggests that novel methods of content analytics, including sentiment analysis, can provide entrepreneurial firms with a cost-effective way to acquire knowledge about foreign markets in general and about customers, competitors and other stakeholders operating in the international supply chain. The study found that the firms which hold cash above the optimal level of cash holdings have higher speed of adjustment than the firms which hold cash below the optimal level. Financially constrained (FC) firms also adjust their cash holdings faster than financially unconstrained (FUC) firms but high speed of downward adjustment does not remain persistent after financial constraints are controlled. Findings of this study reveal this asymmetric adjustment in above and below target firms and extend these results in FC and FUC Pakistani listed firms, respectively.

The present study explored the impact of acquisition on performance of Iranian target companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. The results of testing research hypotheses showed that performance of target companies did not significantly increase after acquisition, suggesting a decreasing trend in the performance of the target companies after acquisition compared with the period before acquisition.
