The Development Environment

This presentation will introduce the smart urban formation process with ideas and operational models. At the same time, we will introduce a smart city rating system based on the role of urban government and the community; thus, we will find the existing and building of the development orientation. Finally, we will present a case study to applying smart city model in Hanoi capital, Vietnam in the trend of sustainable development in the future.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of store environment on customer perception of store, service quality and food quality, and their influences on customer behavioral intentions in dining service. This study extend the existing literatures by developing a model that accounts for the influences of three restaurant’s store environment factors on customer’s perceptions, including perception of store, food quality and customer service quality and their effects on customer’s behavioral intention.

In the context of industrialization and modernization, environmental pollution is not a new phenomenon, but still remains the world’s greatest problem. At the same time, green consumption plays an increasingly important role in protecting environment. The study finds out the factors that affect the green consumption behavior of Vietnamese Generation Z by conducting a survey in March, 2021. After that, a research model is applied to test the Generation Z in Vietnam, thereby identifying the factors affecting green consumption in this generation.

The general policy implication is that environmental policies should not be uniform for all countries. Environmental policy must be country‐and polluter‐specific to solve environmental problems faced by a country. A well‐designed environmental policy should reflect the specific needs of a country, considering the country’s level of economic development as well as specific environmental pollutants.

Magnetic bearing systems have received much attention in the research community for the past decades. Its inherent nonlinearity and open-loop instability present challenges for controller design. This thesis investigates and designs model predictive control (MPC) systems for an experimental Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) laboratory system. A host-target development environment of real-time control system with hardware in the loop (HIL) is used for implementation of the predictive control systems. In this thesis, both continuous and discrete time model predictive controllers are studied.

The focus of this study is to investigate its optical and conductive properties under different conditions of doping environments, temperature and polymerization conditions. Optical characterization technique such as UV-Visible spectroscopy is developed to carry out the investigation. The developed nanofibers have been demonstrated to possess optical and conductive properties to be dependent on doping variables. Study of these optical properties could prove very useful in the development of electrochromic devices and gas sensors.

This thesis intends to develop application-level access control models to address several major security issues in enterprise environments. This changing external environment is the context for this 'practitioner research' investigative project - the development of a motorsports program as a case study of innovation and entrepreneurship at Wodonga Institute of TAFE. A participant-observer research approach was applied to examine the perceptions of the stakeholders about the development of the program.
