Understanding the binding mechanism between gold nanoparticles and biomolecules is a fundamental step for numerous applications in biosensors and targeted drug delivery. This study aims to clarify the adsorption behaviors of CYS and GSH on the gold surface using a small gold Au8 cluster as a model reactant.

This paper attempts for a randomized trial of empirically investigating 50 SMEs in and around Bangalore, India and hypothetically reveals that most of them are not keen in associating with ongoing Government sponsored development programs, rather are interested in the formation of clusters to take up VCSR programs, agreeable for 1% to 2% of their net profit contributions, welcome the involvement of local NGOs and other consulting organizations for improved impact of VCSR and so on.

Focusing on multi-document personal name disambiguation, this paper develops an agglomerative clustering approach to resolving this problem. We start from an analysis of pointwise mutual information between feature and the ambiguous name, which brings about a novel weight computing method for feature in clustering. Then a trade-off measure between within-cluster compactness and among-cluster separation is proposed for stopping clustering. After that, we apply a labeling method to find representative feature for each cluster. ...

We have cloned and determined the nucleotide sequence of the cDNAcoding for a cellular retinol-bindingprotein type I (CRBPI)from zebrafish. The deduced amino acid sequence of the zebrafish CRBPI showed highest sequence identity (59%)to the mammalian CRBPIs of the intracellular lipid-binding protein (iLBP)multigene family. Phylogenetic analysis clustered the zebrafish CRBPI to the CRBPI clade. The zebrafish CRBPI gene (rbp1)and CRBPII gene (rbp2) both consist of four exons separated by three introns, iden-tical to all otheriLBP genes in vertebrates....

b-Glucosidases such as Zm-p60.1 (Zea mays) and Bgl4:1 (Brassica napus) have implicated roles in regulating plant development by releasing biologi-cally active cytokinins from O-glucosides. A key determinant of substrate specificity in Zm-p60.1 is the F193–F200–W373–F461 cluster. However, despite sharing the same substrates, amino acids in the active sites of Zm-p60.1 and Bgl4:1 differ dramatically.

Red Lesions Cutaneous lesions that are red in color have a wide variety of etiologies; in an attempt to simplify their identification, they will be subdivided into papules, papules/plaques, and subcutaneous nodules. Common red papules include arthropod bites and cherry hemangiomas; the latter are small, bright-red, domeshaped papules that represent benign proliferation of capillaries.
