The primary objectives of this study were to: Investigate the fouling potential, and characterise the organic components of the membrane foulant layers, of clarified activated sludge and lagoon effluent obtained from the WTP; Investigate the fouling propensities of EOM and AOM derived from a blue-green algal culture as it passed through the growth cycle, ie., for which the cells had not been subject to physical disruption; Determine any difference in the fouling propensity of EOM and AOM and relate it to organic composition.

An investigation was carried out at Norman E. Borlaug Crop Research Centre of G. B. Pant Univ. Agric. & Tech. Pantnagar, U. S. Nagar, Uttarakhand, India in order to study the influence of long-term applications of fertilizers and manures on different soil physical properties after forty two cycles in silty clay loam textured Typic Haplustept under ricewheat cropping sequence during 2012-13. The field was laid out in a randomized block design comprising of ten treatments.

This Master of Science degree thesis aims at investigating, studying and developing the new physical layer for the new handled generation of terrestrial TV standard DVB-NGH. This new physical layer is based on the DVB-T2 physical layer specification, but it introduces several advanced mechanisms to allow the transmission of high definition TV services in mobile environments. The main objective of this thesis work is focused on illustrating the benefits of the new physical layer when compared to T2 physical layer.
