This article, we present a thorough and straightforward hydrothermal method towards the production of reduced graphene oxide templated MIL-53(Fe) hybrids RGO@MIL-53(Fe). The structural characteristics of created hybrids were identified by using BET, FESEM, powder X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. Methylene blue (MB) dye (a model water pollutant) was used to evaluate H2O2-assisted photo-catalytic efficiency of RGO@MIL-53(Fe).

Magneto-electronic and spin-polarized transport properties of the zigzag-zigzag pentagraphene nanoribbon are investigated theoretically within the framework of density functional theory combined with non-equilibrium Green’s function formalism. It is found that the spinunpolarized ZZ-PGNR behaves as metal.

The rest of the paper is organized as follows. In Section II, a tight-binding model that takes into account the effect of strain is introduced to describe electrons in nanobubbles. The model is then solved by employing recursive technique within the nonequilibrium Green’s function formalism.

Graphene is a promising candidate for CO2 capture, storage, and sensor. Doping graphene with other elements is an effective way to modify its CO2 storage ability. The literature has shown that the N and B dopants could change the adsorption strength of CO2 on the graphene substrate.

In this work, an enzymatic liquid-gated field-effect-transistor sensor based on chemically reduced graphene oxide film was developed for determination of acetylthiocholine in aqueous conditions. The device was designed with interdigitated electrode configuration and then manufactured by combining lithography and chemical vapor deposition techniques in clean room.

In order to investigate the interaction of graphene oxide (GO) with different cellulose polymorphs (I and II), we synthesized cellulose (I and II)/GO composites using the sonication method. Interestingly, no new peaks were observed in the FT-IR pattern of the cellulose (I and II)/GO composites, indicating that no chemical reactions took place between GO and cellulose. The X-ray diffraction patterns of cellulose I and II/GO composites were slightly different than those observed for cellulose I and II, indicating that some physical interactions occurred between the GO and cellulose.

We report the effect of graphene oxide (GO) on film formation and morphological properties of GO-doped polystyrene (PS) latex nanocomposite (PS latex/GO) films using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). PS latex particles were synthesized through emulsion polymerization technique and then nanocomposite blends, each containing different concentrations of GO ranging from 0 wt% to 70 wt%, were obtained.

Nanotechnology in particular carbon nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphene, is both technologically and commercially important. This is clearly seen from the amount of scientific and production activities in the last two decades. Carbon nanomaterials have been portrayed as the materials of the 21st century, in a similar manner that Si technology/information technology and petrochemicals have significantly contributed to the worldwide development in the last century.
