The Vietnamese enterprise’s technological capacity

In this paper, we underline the significant role of intermediaries in boosting absorptive capacity in small and medium-sized enterprises by introducing a framework that expresses intermediaries' functions and their services in absorptive capacity as an essential element of successful knowledge and technology transfer.

The article comprehensively assesses the Vietnamese enterprise’s technological capacity in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution against the following criteria: capacity of technology exploitation–use–operation; capacity of technology innovation and upgrade, and capacity of new technology research and development. Limited resources have a direct impact on the enterprise’s technology exploitation–operation capacity.
