This paper aims to develop a novel constitutive model dependent strain rate with free energy which is based on the model of damage and dissipation “plasticity-like”. Moreover, the effect of strain rate will be taken into account in critical driving force. The model can describe the superelastic behavior of SMA considering the effect of strain rate.

A novel N–P-containing soybean-oil-based fire-retardant plasticizer was synthesized using soybean oil methyl ester, 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO), and tris(2-hydroxyethyl) isocyanurate (THEIC). The structure was verified by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The blends were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), FTIR spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA).

This research aims to study a process of steeping in the n-heptane, used for reducing the migration of additives contained initially in toys for babies plasticized with di-octylphtalate (DOP) based on poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) and stabilized with epoxidized sunflower oil (ESO). Two formulations were carried out at different levels of DOP plasticizers (15% and 45%). The migration tests were conducted in the synthetic saliva in the absence and in the presence of α-amylase with or without agitation at 37° C for 1, 3, and 6 h.

The aim of this work was to prepare metal soaps of epoxidized sunflower oil (ESO) and use them as thermal stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride (PVC). For that purpose, commercial sunflower oil was first epoxidized and then used to prepare (Ba, Zn, Pb, and Cd) metal soap derivatives, which were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The prepared metal soaps derivatives of ESO were used as thermal stabilizers for plasticized PVC.

In this study, sulfonation of polystyrene waste was investigated of the possibility of the removing Cu (II) ions in solution. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) of sulfonation polystyrene waste was performed to study the material characteristics and the results showed the presence of sulfonic group bands.

The analysis is based on a comprehensive data-set covering all limited firms in Sweden during the period 1997-2005. HGFs are defined as the one percent fastest growing firms in the population. The population is continuing firms, i.e., firms existing throughout a particular time period. Firm growth is calculated over three, five and seven years. The total growth of firms is studied, i.e., the sum of organic and acquired growth. In general, the correlation between the nine groups of HGFs is low, suggesting that different firms are included among HGFs depending on definition.
