Mobile health (mHealth) applications have the potential to improve health awareness. This study reports a quasi-controlled intervention to augment maternal health awareness among tribal pregnant mothers through the mHealth application. Households from 2 independent villages with similar socio-demographics in tribal regions of India were selected as intervention (Village A) and control group (Village B).

The present study was conducted to know the knowledge of dairy animal owners in animal breeding practices a field survey in Surat district (Mahuva, Mandvi, Umarpada and Mangrol talukas. From each talukas three villages (60 cattle owners) were selected to take the observation related to the study. The present study revealed that majority of dairy farmers were belonged to middle to old age group, educate up to primary and secondary level, marginal to small land holdings, rearing animals up to 10.

Himalayan Giant Nettle (Girardinia diversifolia (Link) Friis) is an eco-friendly plant from wild forest which the tribal population of Anjaw namely Digaru and Mizu Mishmi have been using as a fibre (Khujalli patta/ Chuaam/Tatsa) for weaving different items. The present study is taken up to assess the Educational status of Yanadi tribe children aged between 3 -8 years. Sample size comprises of 250 children in the age group of 3-8 years. The tools like standardised questionnaire, Focus group discussions and services and opportunities mapping was used for collecting qualitative data from the parents of the sample. The study results revealed that in the age group of Pre-school only 13 percent of sample were attending the Anganwadi. Enrolled but not attending were found to be 21.6 percent, while 12.5 percent of them have not enrolled.
