The efficacy of both botanical pesticides and entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) is largely dose-dependent and driven by environmental conditions. Combination of the EPNs and botanicals may enhance their efficacy; thus, we investigated the compatibility of the medicinal plants Alepidea amatymbica and Elephantorrhiza elephantina with five locally isolated EPN strains, three Steinernema (S. khoisanae, S. biddulphi and S. innovationi) and two Heterorhabditis (H. bacteriophora and Heterorhabditis sp. SGI 244).

The present study aimed to elucidate relationships between phytoplankton species and stressors using multivariate approaches and assess the environmental condition of Burç Reservoir’s surface water using phytoplankton metrics from September 2018 to August 2019 according to implementations of the Water Framework Directive. Burç Reservoir had a characteristic of a warm monomictic pattern. Phytoplankton functional groups (E, F, J, LO, LM, MP, P, S1, T, and W1) were found in the reservoir. A significant difference was found in total biovolume values changed from 2.

Automatic Lane Detection is a prerequisite in the development of self-driving cars - a new trend that will surely prevail in the near future. Lane identification has two levels including determining purely by image processing (1) and determining by machine learning (2). Processing with machine learning will produce more accurate results under a variety of environmental conditions than simply processing images.

Heavy metal contamination is among the globally environmental and ecological concerns. In this study we assessed the development of the two green algae Schroederia setigera and Selenastrum bibraianum under exposures to 5 - 200 µg/L of Ni, Zn, and Cd in the laboratory conditions. Heavy metal removal efficiency of S. setigera was also tested in 537 µg Ni/L, 734 µg Zn/L, and 858 µg Cd/L. We found that the exposures with these heavy metals caused inhibitory on the growth of S. bibraianum.

Deep sequencing of transposon mutant libraries (or TnSeq) is a powerful method for probing essentiality of genomic loci under different environmental conditions. Various analytical methods have been described for identifying conditionally essential genes whose tolerance for insertions varies between two conditions.

The aim of this study is trying to understand the effect of different environmental factors and their interactions on the stability for some yield traits of soybean entries through different experiments including three locations, two years, two growing dates and all interactions among them in addition, molecular characterizations for the previous selected genotypes under studying by using RAPD-PCR analysis to determine all genetic differences between them which responsible for highly score of grain yield and quality traits under any environmental conditions.

The extensive use of fascinating colorful dyes during textile manufacturing indirectly causes severe environmental problem. These dyes exert toxic effects on terrestrial and aquatic life forms, imparting photosynthesis and other metabolic processes. Color is an escalating problem in industrial wastewater. Hence, there is a pressing need to eradicate this contaminant for a sustainable environment. This investigation was directed to isolate and characterized potential bacteria which can efficiently decolorize common recalcitrant textile dye Yellow CRG.

Plant growth and development are adversely affected by salinity- a major environmental stress that limits agricultural production. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is sensitive to salinity that affects its yield and there is need to identify the tolerant genotypes. In order to evaluate the effect of soil salinity, a pot experiment with two chickpea genotypes was carried out under screen house conditions.

The present study reports the feasibility of reclamation of a lead and cadmium contaminated soil using the solution containing organic carbon resulting from the decomposition of organic matter, an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective leachate. For conducting this experiment, three soil samples were used. Column leaching experiments were performed to test the efficiency of organic solution containing two rates of organic carbon (0.25 g/L and 0.50 g/L) for the reclamation of the lead and cadmium contaminated soil in natural conditions.

Pisum sativum L. had been used as a good source of nutritious food. The estimate of genetic variability was observed for twenty three traits on 60 genotypes. The ANOVA indicated that the mean sum of squares due to genotypes were highly significant for days to first flower opening and days to fifty percent flowering, respectively in all the environmental conditions.

In Bihar rice is a major food crop and has more than 5.14 M ha area. Recent years environmental stress becoming major threats to rice cultivation and adversely affecting the productivity of crop. Drought resistance varieties and some microbes have proved their potential in mitigation of stresses and enhancing the rice yield under stress condition. In this study, two Trichoderma isolates were tested with three drought tolerant varieties i.e. Sahbaghi dhan, DRR44 and Neelam.

Predicted climate changes announce an increase of extreme environmental conditions including drought and excessive heat and light in classical viticultural regions. Thus, understanding how grapevine responds to these conditions and how different genotypes can adapt, is crucial for informed decisions on accurate viticultural actions.

Micronutrients are essential for human health and crucial for plant survival. Increasing temperature and drought are major abiotic stress which limits the productivity and nutritional quality of wheat. The objective of study is to evaluate effect of heat stress and elevated temperature on micronutrient (Zn, Cu, Fe, and Mn) content in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain. The 18 wheat varieties were accessed and evaluated for variations of micronutrient accumulation in there mature grains under two different environmental conditions.

This study aims to investigate the colonization, composition, diversity and favorable environmental conditions of Saudi Arabian desert habituated AMF in order to explore their agricultural, ecological and biotechnological potential. The total number of collected plants from the three studied areas was 14 plants, represented by 9 unique plants. Seven different plants were collected from Riyadh and Qassim regions. However, five plants (Rumex vesicarius, Echium rauwolfia, Anthemis deserti, Erucaria hispanica and Picris sp.) were collected from both Riyadh and Qassim regions.
