The crystalline structure-magnetic behaviour relationships of the nanomaterials were investigated to imply the presence of a surface protection at nanoscale. The speculation indicated that shock waves took place as the surface-protective role rather than the original mechanical interaction of ultrasound with a larger scope of impact.

Novel three dimensional (3D) ZnO hierarchical architectures were fabricated by a bio-inspired ultrasound assisted sonochemical route using self-sacrificial Aloe Vera (A.V.) gel as a bio-surfactant. The emergence of 3D superstructures (SS) is of essential interest, and the ability to program their form has practical ramifications in fields such as optics, biological activity, and catalysis and creates a bouquet of assembled SS with unprecedented levels of complexity and precision.

Zirconium-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate metal-organic framework (Zr-NDC MOF) was prepared using ultrasound-assisted synthesis and tested for the adsorptive removal of crystal violet (CV) dye from aqueous solution. The pristine Zr-NDC was characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared, elemental analysis, and dynamic light scattering techniques.

NiO–Al2O3–ZrO2 and Co3O4–Al2O3–ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by three different co-precipitation methods, namely co-precipitation, surfactant-assisted co-precipitation, and surfactant-assisted co-precipitation with ultrasound mixing methods, and their activities were tested in selective CO methanation. Catalysts were characterized using N2 physisorption, XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, and TPR-H2 techniques. CO methanation and selective CO methanation reactions were carried out.

Pyridinium Shiff bases and ionic liquids have attracted increasing interest in medicinal chemistry. A library of 32 cationic fluorinated pyridinium hydrazone-based amphiphiles tethering fuorinated coun‑ teranions was synthesized by alkylation of 4-fuoropyridine hydrazone with various long alkyl iodide exploiting lead quaternization and metathesis strategies.

In this paper, Fe3O4-ZnO heterostructure multifunctional nanoparticles (NPs) were successfully prepared in aqueous solution by ultrasound assisted thermolysis. First, iron oxide (Fe3O4) magnetic NPs were prepared by co-precipitation method. The Fe3O4 NPs were modified by 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) to have free amine (-NH2) groups on their surface, then, Zn2+ ions were added and stirred to adsorb onto the surface of Fe3O4-NH2 NPs in alkaline solution at a pH of 11.

The environmental legislation contained in the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990 set the stage for green chemistry. Environmental concerns in research and industry are increasing with more and more pressure to reduce the number of pollutants produced. Green chemistry, environmentally benign chemistry and sustainable chemistry involve the design of chemical products and processes that eliminates the use and generation of hazardous substances.
