Congenital goiter is a common thyroid metabolic disorder characterized by low levels of thyroid hormone, subsequent secretion of excess thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) from the pituitary gland, and compensatory hyperplasia of the glands. The presence of signet ring cells (SRCs) does not provide sufficient evidence for the diagnosis of a thyroid tumor, making histopathological diagnosis challenging.

Despite advances in oceanographic investigations in the Indian Ocean, zooplankton ecology is still poorly known from the open waters of the Bay of Bengal. In order to understand the vertical and horizontal distribution of zooplankton in the Bay of Bengal during spring intermonsoon, stratified sampling was conducted using a multiple plankton net. We found that higher zooplankton biomass was often associated with mesoscale cold-core eddies.

For all businesses, inventory plays a very important role in the process of production and business. Consequently, inventory control is essential to make sure that it is enough. If the inventory level is too high, the price will increase, which makes it difficult to compete with our competitors in the market. Conversely, if the inventory level is low, it will reduce sales, causing stagnation in production.

Chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled to sequencing (ChIP-seq) is widely used to map histone modifications and transcription factor binding on a genome-wide level. The resulting workflow is easily established, extremely rapid, and compatible with requirements for very low numbers of FACS sorted cells, high-throughput applications and single day data generation.

Elderly patients with hip fractures often have multiple medical comorbidities, and vitamin D deficiency is common in this population. Accumulating evidence links low vitamin D levels to various comorbidities. However, very little is known about the collective impact of comorbidities on vitamin D levels.

The author of the article uses EVI method for 4 indexes in the climate group of the sustainable development index to assess the vulnerability in 3 meteorological stations of Dong Nai river basin. Results show that the indexes of hot periods, cold periods and dry periods remain within safe limits when the vulnerability level is very low at level 1, but the wet periods are more vulnerable at level 3.

As many as 25 lactic acid bacterial strains were isolated from various sources. These isolates were investigated for their tolerance to low pH (3.0, 4.0 and 5.0) and different bile concentrations (0.3 %, 0.4 %, 0.75 % and 1.0 %). Among 25 isolates, strain 42, 45 and 48 showed very high tolerance to acidic pH and the same isolates also tolerated high level of bile salt concentration up to 1.0 per cent.

India has been considered as the "Spice Bowl of the World". Black pepper (Piper nigrum L.), is a perennial export oriented cash crop of India. It is also known as "King of Spices". The demand for black pepper and its products is increasing year by year in the world market but the production is not up to the level. At present the productivity in India is very low due to non-adoption of good agricultural practices (Thangaselvabal et al., 2008).

Treatment of pulmonary recurrence from colorectal cancer involving the main bronchus usually entails palliation using interventional bronchoscopy, because the prognosis is generally very poor. Surgical experience has clarified that in this setting pneumonectomy should only be performed in carefully selected patients showing favorable prognostic profiles (defined by low carcinoembryonic antigen serum levels pre-thoracotomy), solitary and completely resectable pulmonary metastasis, and long disease-free intervals.

The field investigation entitled “Effect of plant geometry and fertilizer levels on yield and economicsof cowpea (Vignaunguiculata L. Walp)” was conducted at Department of Agronomy, College of Agriculture, Latur. The experimental field was levelled and well drained. The soil was clay loam in texture, low in available nitrogen, very low in available phosphorus, very high in available potassium and moderately alkaline in reaction. The environmental conditions prevailed during experimental period was favourable for normal growth and maturity of cowpea crop.

It is very common in India that with low priced palm oil use to be adulterated with ghee. Though some techniques are present in market for ascertain the purity of ghee but all these techniques have their own limitations. Thus, simple and rapid test been preferred now a day to assess the quality of ghee in routine quality control analysis. Presently a DPPH based chromogenic assay been used to identify the presence of palm oil in ghee. The assay was involved using of 50 mg/ 100 ml (ethanol) DPPH solution. Specificity of this assay was tested across the pure ghee and palm oil.
