The present study aims to investigate the characteristics of remuneration systems practices of Vietnamese enterprises. The study was based on qualitative approaches with 20 firm HR managers in domestic and FDI enterprises in Dong Nai province, Vietnam. The result shows that the sustainability of the remuneration system, through the links between remuneration system characteristics and SHRM principles.

The total accumulative FDI amount by Korea shows U$ 48,810 mil.andnumber of FDI cases done by Korea remains 5,453cases. Around 5,500 Korean firms have entered into Vietnam.

This study developed the framework of knowledge spillovers at sector level and investigated these spillover effects of research and development (R&D), foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade activities on sectoral innovation by Spatial Regression Models. Besides, the study examined the spillover effects of sectoral innovation and provincial human resources on firms’ TFP with 7,236 enterprises in 38 sectors of Vietnamese manufacturing industries, located in 62 provinces by Cross-Classified Models.

This study is conducted to answer the question of whether the presence of FDI enterprises affects the survival of domestic firms or not. The authors apply the logistic regression model to analyze this crowding out effect, using the case of the textile and garment processing industry, which has a key role in Vietnamese manufacturing, industry and which also has attracted a large amount of FDI in recent years.

The study used meta- frontier framework, data envelopment analysis approach and the global Malmquist total factor productivity index to analyse technical efficiency and productivity change as well as its components of Vietnamese textile and garment firms during 2013-2015. The results show that: (i) The total factor productivity of Vietnamese textile and garment firms fell in the period 2013-2015, and technical change is the main reason to constraint productivity growth. (ii) The private garment sector has taken real effort to improve technology.
