Đậu xanh (Vigna radiata L.) có khả năng thích ứng rộng, chịu hạn khá và thích nghi với các vùng khí hậu khắc nghiệt. Đậu xanh trồng được trên nhiều loại đất khác nhau như đất cát pha, đất thịt, đất sỏi cơm, đất có tầng canh tác mỏng ở các vùng đồi dốc. Ethylene is an important phytohormone that regulates several aspects of plant development including those crucial for drought tolerance. The main aim of the present work was to investigate variability in ethylene sensitivity of mungbeans to seed germination, waterlogging, and leaf senescence, and the underlying transcriptional regulation of ethylene biosynthetic/responsive genes. Significant variation was observed for silver-nitrate–mediated germination inhibition and flooding stress tolerance among the mungbean genotypes.

Green gram (Vigna radiata L.) is one of the important pulse crops in India. It is widely cultivated throughout India in three different seasons. Eight genotypes of green gram viz, Pusa Vishal, PM-11-9, IPM-2-3, Meha (IPM 99-125), Samrat, IPM-512-1, TMB-37, SML-1822 were primed with GA3 and Ag-nanoparticle for six hours. Mungbean is grown principally for its protein content. Seed borne mycoflora affect the germination and vigour of seeds. Thus, due to seed borne diseases, there is a reduction in the production, resulting in failure of fulfilling the demand of mungbean seeds. The associated seed borne mycoflora were found to reduce the germination and thereby seedling vigour index. Fungicides and Trichoderma were found to increase the vigour index by keeping mycoflora under check and plant growth promoting activities of Trichoderma.

Thirty mungbean genotypes were evaluated for the estimation of genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance, correlation coefficient, and path coefficient analysis for yield and its component traits. A considerable amount of genetic variability was observed among all the genotypes for all the characters under study. GCV & PCV were highest for seed yield per plant, followed by harvest index, biological yield and number of pods per plant.
