Ben Tre province in Viet Nam must contend with the fact that the farming environment is deteriorating beccause of poor disease management practices, pond wastewater discharge, and bottom muck. The current state of extremely intense shrimp farming in Ben Tre province is depicted in this study.

This study was conducted to assess the current wastewater management in the region. Initial survey results revealed that there was only 8 wastewater treatment plants, meeting requirement of 6.9% of treatment demand, and the sewer coverage was 69%.

This study aims to examine the characteristics and to assess the hazardous level as well as the reusability of sewage sludge and river sediment from To Lich River (TLR) basin, which is the largest wastewater catchment in Hanoi. Sludge samples were collected from six manholes along Tran Binh Trong (TBT) and Thai Ha (TH) sewers in rainy and dry seasons.

Microalgae systems can be promising for cost, energy and environment-efficient treatment of piggery wastewater (PWW). Aside from clean water, the produced biomass can be used as biostimulants and biopesticides contributing to a more sustainable agriculture.
