We describe a thorough study of the wave-mixing procedure in the extreme ultraviolet (XUV) region involving three laser fields (800 nm, 1400 nm and 1860 nm). In addition to the phase matched high harmonic generation (HHG) spectrum generated by an 800-nm laser (driving field), non-integer order wave-mixing spectra are produced when the driving field and the control field (1400 nm or 1860 nm) are collinearly focused into krypton gas.

The application of brushwood fences along the Mekong deltaic coast has recently played a significant role in wave damping and promoting sedimentation. The results show a good agreement of wave heights and wave spectrum between the physical, vegetation and porosity models. Furthermore, the computational and physical model errors, such as BIAS and SI values, are less than 1 mm and 10%, respectively.

In this work, a model is delivered, which highlights a simple mathematic relationship between the refractive index of an optical material and its transmittance spectrum measured by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Such model allows determining the refractive index of ceramics fabricated by hot-pressing of MgF2 nanoparticles. The reliability of this method has been verified on a silicon wafer taken as a reference (< 0.5%, discrepancy with data from literature on Si). Our approach can be applied to a variety of promising novel optical materials being developed.

This research calculated the power spectrum of Alpha wave and Theta wave, to detect the transition of wake - sleep stages by K-means clustering algorithm. Sleep latency is one of the factors that determine the quality of sleep. The sleep onset is detected based on the phase shift of the Alpha and Theta waves. The exact timing of the sleep onset was important in this study. The user interface was developed in this study to compute sleep latency in normal and musical experiment.

WAM (WaveModeling) is a third generation wave model developed by WAMDI Group which describes the evolution of a two-dimensional ocean wave spectrum under the effects of winds, currents, bottom and non-linear wave-wave interactions. The model runs for deep and shallow waters and includes depth and current refraction. This study used the WAM cycle 4.5 with model domain which is covered from 990E to 1210E and 00N to 250N with a resolution of ∆X = ∆Y = 0.250 .
