Field investigation on evaluation of pre and post emergent herbicides on yield parameters and yield of aerobic rice was conducted during kharif 2014 at agricultural college Farm, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The experiment consisted of combination of pre and post emergence herbicides alone, in combination with hand weeding and hand weedings at 20, 40 & 60 DAS and un-weeded check.

An experiment was carried out during rabi 2015-16 to evaluate growth and yield of chickpea under different sowing dates and weed control measure. The experiment was laid out in split-plot design with three replications, assigning twenty treatments consisting of four date of sowing (15 October, 30 October, 15 November and 30 November) as main plot treatments and five weed control measure (Weedy check, Weed free, Pendimethalin @ 0.75 kg/ha as pre emergence, Imazethapyr @ 20 g/ha at 20 DAS as post emergence and Quizalofop@ 37.5 g/ha at 20 DAS as post emergence) as sub-plots.

A field experiments was conducted during Kharif seasons 2007 at Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, Gujarat to study the effect of weed management practices on cowpea under rainfed conditions. A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2015-2016 at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulam to find out the most effective weed control measure study weed dynamics, productivity and economics of hybrid maize as affected by integrated weed management. None of the pre-emergence herbicides alone provided desired control of weeds. However, inclusion of one hand weeding at 30 DAS with preemergence herbicides markedly improved weed control efficiency (WCE), yield attributes, grain and stover yield.

Weeds compete with the crops for water, soil, nutrients, light, space and crop yields are significantly reduced as reported by several studies.
