Located in the Red river delta, Hanoi is the place that hosts a wide range of structures built to worship supernatural forces. These structures are called sacred spaces or religious spaces by the academia. International and national scientists have recently increased the study of religion through its tangible and material manifestation.

Based on the analysis of survey findings in some provinces of the Red River Delta, the article points out the causes leading to changes in the sacred spaces of traditional religions. Accordingly, the spiritual needs of the people is the main cause led to the transformation of sacred spaces.

The visual art on bronze worshiping objects is an element that is closely linked and contributes to the identification of worshiping works of the Vietnamese people. The bronze statue is not only made for simple worship but also elaborately and delicately carved by Vietnamese artisans to form beautiful works of art for the sacred worship space.
