Research information on response of crops to phosphorus and potassium levels generated very scanty and as such generating further information is very much essential specially in low phosphorus and potassium containing soils to combat the present situation. With this in view, the present study was initiated in low phosphorus and potassium soils to assess the effect of phosphorus and potassium levels on growth, yield and economics of finger millet in Alfisols of Ramanagara district of Karnataka.

Pigeon pea is majorly grown in north-eastern dry zone of Karnataka and it carries a unique position in every cropping system of this zone. Crop Productivity of pigeonpea is being low in the north-eastern dry zone of Karnataka and this is due to several reasons. One of the main important reason is flower drop and poor seed setting. To overcome and reduce this problem and to enhance productivity of pigeonpea, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kalburgi, has introduced a product known as Pulse Magic (consists of nutrients and Plant growth regulators) as foliar spray.

Drip fertigation is known to enhance the growth and productivity of various crops. Since maize is a heavy feeder of nutrients and water, thus, proper management of these resources is the key to successful growth of maize. Keeping this in view, a field experiment was conducted at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore, during kharif season of 2012, to study the effect of drip irrigation and fertigation with different levels and sources of fertilizers on productivity and economics of maize.

A field experiment on “Long term effect of integrated nutrient management on finger millet (Eleusine coracana G.) growth and yield was recorded at AICRPDA, GKVK, UAS, Bengaluru, during kharif 2018 with 8 treatments, replicated thrice laid out in RCBD. The results of the field experiment revealed that growth and yield parameters of finger millet such as plant height (96.53 cm), number of tillers per hill (7.60), number of ear heads per hill (7.37), number of fingers per ear head (6.61), test weight (3.56 g) and total dry mater production (82.

On Farm Testing was conducted at Krishi Vignyan Kendra, Yadagir during Kharif of 2019-20 under irrigated conditions to study the performance of multicut fodder sorghum genotypes. The result obtained from the study revealed that among the different genotypes, genotype CoFS-31 recorded numerically higher plant height, tillers per plant, more number of leaves compared to rest of the genotypes. Higher green fodder yield was recorded in CoFS-31 (152.7 t ha-1 ) and seed yield in SSV – 47. Genotype CoFS-31 fetched numerically higher gross return, net return and benefit cost ratio (Rs.
