A qualitative exploration of potential determinants of accelerated summer weight gain among school-age children: Perspectives from parents

There is growing evidence that school children in the United States gain weight more rapidly during the summer than the school year, but few studies have explored the causes of this phenomenon. The goal of this study was to qualitatively explore potential determinants of accelerated summer weight gain by interviewing parents of school-age children.
