  2. BEFORE YOU WRITE Discuss and answer the question: “What rules do you have at school?” Some rules at school: • Go to school on time • Wear uniform • Respect teachers • Not use phone • Do homework • Not cheat in the exam
  3. WHILE YOU WRITE Task 1: Work in groups. What rules do you have in your family? Discuss this topic and add others. Use the following verbs and expressions
  4. Useful structures 1. let + O + V(inf): để, cho (My parents only let me talk on the phone about my study.) 2. allow/permit + O + to-V(inf): cho phép (They don’t allow me to come home later than 9.30 p.m.) 3. have to + V(inf): phải (They have to do the household chores.) 4. be allowed/ permitted to + V(inf): được phép (I am allowed to watch TV after I’ve finished my homework.)
  5. Some expressions - doing household chores: làm việc nhà - coming home late: về nhà trễ - preparing meals: chuẩn bị bữa ăn - watching TV: xem TV - talking on the phone: tán gẫu qua điện thoại - using the family motorbike: chạy xe máy - going out with friends: đi chơi với bạn bè - cleaning the floor: lau nhà - washing the dishes: rửa chén - going to sleep: đi ngủ - getting up: thức dậy - …
