Use: Diễn tả hành động xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ. Trạng từ thường gặp: yestersay, ago, last…. Ex: I went to Hue three day ago. 5. Past continuous (Quá khứ tiếp diễn): S+ was/ were + Ving Use: Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại 1 thời điểm quá khứ Ex: I was watching TV at 5 p.m yesterday. Were they having lunch when you called? 6. Simple future (tương lai đơn): khẳng định phủ định nghi vấn S + will + V1 S + won’t + V1 Will + S + V1? Use: Diễn tả hành động sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai . Trạng từ thường gặp: Tomorrow, next……. Ex: Will you go to university after you finish school? 7. Near Future (tương lai gần): Cấu trúc: Affirmative S + am / is / are going to + V0 Negative S + am / is / are + not + going to + V0 Yes/No Question Am / Is / Are + S + going to + V0 ? Cách dùng: Diễn đạt một hành động sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai gần, thường dùng với các phó từ dưới dạng: In a moment (lát nữa), at 2 o'clock this afternoon.... Ex: We are going to have a reception in a moment. Chỉ 1 việc chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra theo như dự tính cho dù thời gian là tương lai xa. Ex: We are going to take a TOEFL test next year. 8 . Passive voice ( câu b ị động) S+ BE+ PP+ BY+ O Cách chuyển từ câu chủ động sang câu bị động: S + V + O S + be+ PP + BY + O Bị động hiện tại đơn: S + is/ am/ are + PP + BY + by O Bị động quá khứ đơn: S+ was/ were + PP + BY + by O Bị động hiện tại hoàn thành: S + have/ has + been + PP + by O Bị động tương lai đơn: S + will + be + PP + by O Bị động thì tương lai gần : S + be + going to be + PP + by O
9. Gerund and to infinitive: Danh động từ và động từ nguyên mẫu có to Danh động từ động từ nguyên mẫu có to 1. Đứng sau một số động từ: keep, like, enjoy, 1. Adjectives of attitude (Tính từ chỉ thái độ) Tính từ chỉ thái độ (adjectives of attitude) là các tính từ mô tả thái độ hoặc cảm xúc của một người (đối với người, vật, hoặc sự việc nào đó). Thành lập bằng cách : verb + ed hoặc verb + ing. + Present participle (verb + ing): dùng để diễn đạt một ý nghĩa chủ động. Nó thuờng đi với danh từ chỉ vật. + Past participle (verb + ed): dùng để diễn đạt một ý nghĩa bị động. Nó thuờng đi với danh từ chỉ người. Cách sử dụng + Nếu phía sau có danh từ thì dùng ing. Ex: This is an interesting book. => phía sau có danh từ book => dùng ing. + Nếu phía sau không có danh từ, ta nhìn lên phía trước. Nếu là danh từ chỉ người thì dùng ed; nếu là danh từ chỉ vật thì dùng ing. Ex: My job is boring. Ex: I am bored with my job. 11.Compound sentences (Câu ghép) Câu ghép (compound sentence) được cấu tạo bởi 2 hay nhiều mệnh đề độc lập (Independent clause). Các liên từ thường được sử dụng trong câu ghép: For : Bởi vì => Dùng để chỉ nguyên nhân And : Và => Dùng để thêm ý kiến Nor : Cũng không => Dùng để bổ sung một ý kiến phủ định But : Nhưng => Dùng để chỉ sự trái ngược F.A.N.B.O.Y.S
