Quality evaluation of shrink wrapped bananas

Shrink wrapping produces a micro atmosphere and retards ripening by limiting the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Shrink wrapping with an engineered plastic wrap can reduce shrinkage, protect the produce from disease, reduce mechanical damage and provide a good surface for stickon labels.
