We aimed to assess the effects of bradykinin (BK) on the proliferation, apoptosis, and cycle of glomerular mesangial cells via the transforming growth factor-β 1 (TGF-β1)/Smad signaling pathway. Rat glomerular mesangial cells, HBZY-1, were divided into normal group (untreated), model group (5 ng/L TGF-β1), BK group (5 ng/L TGF-β1 + 1 ng/L BK), and inhibitor group [5 ng/L TGF-β1 + 1 ng/L LY2109761 (TGF-β1-specific inhibitor)].

Trichomonas vaginalis is an important cause of the premature rupture of membranes, premature delivery, pelvic inflammatory disease, urethritis, and chronic prostatitis.Wet mount is the most widely used method for the detection of T. vaginalis in clinically suspected cases of vulvovaginitis. The purpose of this Study was to compare various microscopic techniques for detection of T. vaginalis like wet mount examination, Giemsa and Acridine orange staining.

Objective of the research was to validate the potential of Syzygium aromaticum and Kaempheria galanga against biofilm formation and plasmid borne drug resistance exhibited by Pseudomonas spp. Antimicrobial property of S.aromaticum and K.galanga on P.aeruginosa culture was assessed using the agar well diffusion method. Crystal violet assay was employed to determine the percentage inhibition of P.aeruginosa biofilm by the extracts following generation of biofilm on multiwell plates.

Nghiên cứu được thực hiện nhằm xác định mối quan hệ giữa tác động kháng phân bào của plumbagin và sự chết theo chương trình của tế bào ung thư biểu mô gan (dòng HepG2) khi được xử lí với plumbagin. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, mật độ tế bào giảm khi nồng độ plumbagin xử lý tăng. Tế bào HepG2 chết khi được xử lý với plumbagin có một số biểu hiện của sự chết theo chương trình. Một số phương pháp sinh học phân tử được sử dụng để đánh giá sự chết theo chương trình của tế bào HepG2.

Trong bài viết này, chúng tôi nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của carbonyl-cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (CCCP) tới chức năng ty thể của tế bào cơ tim chuột H9C2. Thành phần lipid màng ty thể (cardiolipin) và điện thế màng ty thể được phân tích thông qua sự thay đổi mật độ huỳnh quang của tetramethyl rhodamine ethyl ester (TMRE) và 10-nonyl acridine orange (NAO) sử dụng kính hiển vi đồng tiêu LSM800. Kết quả thu được cho thấy CCCP tác động mạnh và đồng thời đến mật độ và chức năng ty thể của tế bào H9C2.

Integrin b4 is a tissue-specific protein, but its role in autophagy of lung adenocarcinoma cells is not clear. In this study, we used microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 processing and acridine orange staining to reveal that knockdown of integrin b4 by its specific siRNA induced autophagic cell death in A549 lung cancer cells.
