The catalyst 7.5% NiO/TiO2 and seven samples of NiO/γ-Al2O3 with NiO content from 7.5% to 60% have been obtained and studied. Physico-chemical characteristics of the catalysts were determined by methods of Adsorption (BET), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), TemperatureProgrammed Reduction (TPR) and Hydrogen Pulse Titration. The catalytic properties of the obtained samples were investigated in the reaction of CO methanation at temperatures 180 – 220◦C and mole ratios hydrogen/carbon monoxide 25-100.

Porcine heart cytoplasmic malate dehydrogenase (s-MDH) is a dimeric protein (2 · 35 kDa). We have studied equilibrium unfolding and refolding of s-MDH using activity assay, fluorescence, far-UV and near-UV circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy, hydrophobic probe-1-anilino8-napthalene sulfonic acid binding, dynamic light scattering, and chromatographic (HPLC) techniques. The unfolding and refolding transitions are reversible and show the presence of two equilibrium intermediate states.

The structure of the O-polysaccharide of the lipopolysaccharide from a diarrheal strain isolated in Bangladesh was studied with sugar, and methylation analysis, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and partial acid hydrolysis. This study reports the identification and characterization of the regulatory subunit, TbRSU, of protein kinase A of the parasitic protozoon Trypanosoma brucei. TbRSU is coded for by a single copy gene. The induction of the heat shock response as well as its termination is auto-regulated by heat shock protein activities. In this study we have investi-gated whether Hsp90 functional protein levels influence the characteristics and duration of the heat shock response. Treatment of cells with several benzoquinone ansamycin inhibitors of Hsp90 (geldanamycin, herbimycin A) activated a heat shock response in the absence of heat shock, as reported previously.
