The health of an (unborn) child is largely determined by the health and social determinants of its parents. The extent to which social determinants of parents or prospective parents affect their own health depends partly on their coping or resilience abilities.

The study was carried out to construct the life table and to study the age dependent reproduction of the predatory bug Orius bifilarus feeding on fictitious host, eggs of rice meal moth, Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton) (Lepidoptera: Galleriidae) and on its natural host, Thripspalmi Karny (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) (collected from cucumber) under controlled conditions (25 ± 1°C, 65 ± 5% RH). Themean durations of the pre, post and oviposition periods were 4.3, 1.4 and 14.2 days on C. cephalonica eggs and 4.1, 2.1 and 16.4 days on thrips, the difference being non-significant.

IBV demonstrates a wide range of tissues tropism, including the renal and reproductive systems.

Nepal has a fairly high adolescent fertility rate and low use of contraception. Lack of contraceptive use is a major contributor to the high rates of unintended pregnancies amongst youth. There is also lack of specific studies dealing with contraceptive behavior among young married women. This study examines the use and determinants of contraceptive methods over the time period of 15 years (2001-2016) among young women in Nepal. Trend and bi-vatiate analysis of this study is based on the Nepal Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS), 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016 data.

Fertility drugs can be oral or injectible. The most common fertility drug used is clomiphene citrate (brand name Clomid or Serophene), which is taken orally to help women who are not ovulating or who ovulate irregularly to produce one or more mature eggs. Injectibles are called gonadotropins and stimulate the ovary to produce more follicles in one cycle. Clomiphene citrate and gonadotropins can be used on their own with intercourse, or combined with AI or IVF. Success rates depend on many factors, especially maternal age and the quality of the accompanying sperm.

Population momentum joined with declining fertility rates provides a unique chance to spur economic development as the work force increases and the dependency burden of society decreases. However, this requires policies that create jobs for the growing work force.
