This paper is aimed at examining Vietnam Payment Solutions (VNPAY), a significant fintech business in digital payments. Data is collected from expert interviews. The research team applies the methodology of analysing VNPAY’s sources of competitive advantage. The key results are that VNPAY’s competitive advantage originates from innovative technology, a large merchant/bank network, powerful data analytics, strategic alliances, operational efficiency, regulatory knowledge, talented staff, and a strong brand recognition.

The hypotheses tested found that marketing of bank’s products and services has improved the efficiency of deposit money banks banking system and created satisfied bank customer. We recommend that all the units of the bank should be involved in marketing while banks should continue to make their customers feel important and have well equipped and experienced staff personnel in customer services unit to be able to provide solutions to customer’s complaints and challenges.

This study focuses on the impact of empowering leadership and challenges work environment on both sale employee’s creativity and innovative work behavior in the Vietnamese banking industry. An empirical test, a structural equation model comprising a sample of 319 sale employees in 15 banks, indicates a strong relationship between sales staff creativity and innovative work behavior. Moreover, the findings indicate that both an empowering leadership and a challenging work environment can trigger sale employees’ creativity.

The Bank, IMF and World Bank participated in a Government Forum organized in March 2011 to discuss the recently approved Strategy for Arrears Clearance. A major conclusion from the workshop was the importance of reaching agreement on a Staff Monitored Program with the IMF as a critical component of the path towards arrears clearance and debt relief and a grandfathering of Zimbabwe by the IDA Executive Board if it is to benefit from the HIPC Initiative.
