Multimetallic nanocatalysts have remarkably revealed activities in various catalytic applications. Herein, the ternary nanocatalysts based on palladiumvanadium-cobalt were successfully synthesized through the reduction of their salts with sodium borohydride including impregnating of activated carbon (AC) substrate with colloid solution of metallic nanoparticles (PdVCo/C).

Porous carbon material is one of the most common and very important for various applications thank to its high surface area and adsorption capability. In this study, mesoporous carbon was prepared by thermal decomposition of copper-based metal-organic framework MOF-199 under inert atmosphere and followed by immersing in diluted HNO3 solution in order to remove metal/metal oxide and activation of the resultant porous carbon.

The Adsorption – desorption is considered as one of the most promising VOCs treatment technologies due to its cheap operational cost and low energy consumption. However, there are a huge amount of adsorbed VOCs released in desorption process. That is the reason why this study focused on the combination of adsorption-desorption with catalytic oxidation to treat completely VOCs as toluene.

In this study, we used the reliable GC-FID/MS technique to analyze the methyl ester derivatives of 37 different kinds of fatty acids. The results showed that high saturated fat concentration in all samples was mostly palmitic acid, whereas the low unsaturated fatty acid content in the cis form was primarily oleic acid and linoleic acid. The amount of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats is quite low.
