In this work, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanorods (NRs) were prepared by a simple hydrothermal method. A sensitive electrochemical glucose biosensor was developed based on the immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx) on MoS2 NRs modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE).

In the present work, tungsten disulfide was synthesised and characterised by using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. This material was employed to modify a glassy-carbon electrode to analyse clenbuterol.

In this study, the removal of DMDS was investigated by adsorption on activated carbon cloth (ACC) in the gas phase. Kinetics and isotherm studies were performed. Adsorption kinetics followed by GC-MS and the data were processed using different models. When correlation coefficients (R2 ) of linear regression analysis are analyzed, it is seen that the concordance of experimental data to the pseudo-second-order equation is quite good.

The reaction between salicylaldehyde and ethyl chloroacetate in DMF formed ester ethyl benzofuran-2- carboxylate 2, followed by the treatment with hydrazine hydrate to afford benzofuran-2-carbohydrazide 3, with carbon disulfide, potassium hydroxide and hydrazine hydrate formed 4-amino-5-(benzofuran-2-yl)-1,2,4- triazole-3-thiol 4a which existed in the mixture of two tautomers (thiol form 4a and thione form 4b).

As a result, octave spanning of the SC spectrum was achieved in the wavelength range of near-IR from 1.25 µm to 2.3 µm with 90 fs pulse and energy of 1.5 nJ at a pump wavelength of 1.55 µm. The proposed fibers are fully compatible with all-silica fiber systems, in particular, could be used for all-fiber SC sources and new low-cost all-fiber optical systems.

SnS2 has been investigated as anode material for lithium ion batteries. To obtain anode material having high capacity and long-term lifespan, in the present work, a nanostructured composite comprising SnS2 nanosheets and CMK-3 ordered mesoporous carbon has been designed. The CMK-3/SnS2 composite is fabricated via incipient wetness impregnation, followed by chemical reduction and chemical conversion in an inert gas at high temperature. The obtained composite exhibits boosted lithium storage behaviors involving high specific capacity, fast rate response and stable cyclability.

Crosslinked sulfonated polyacrylamide (Cross-PAA-SO3H) attached to nano-Fe3O4 as a superior catalyst has been used for the synthesis of 3-alkyl-4-phenyl-1,3-thiazole-2(3H)-thione derivatives through a three-component reactions of phenacyl bromide or 4-methoxyphenacyl bromide, carbon disulfide and primary amine under reflux condition in ethanol.

Two derivatives of 2-thioxoquinazolin-4(3H)-one including compounds 3 and 5 were synthesized by cyclization reaction of anthranilic acid with ethyl isothiocyanate and phenyl isothiocyanate, respectively. Eight novel derivatives of 2-thioxoquinazolin-4(3H)-one including compounds (7a-h) were synthesized by cyclization reaction of derivatives of anthranilic acid with aromatic amines and carbon disulfide in potassium hydroxide/methanol. The obtained compounds were structurally determined by IR, MS, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR analysis method.
