The beauty and power of the genome editing mechanism, CRISPR Cas9 endonuclease system, lies in the fact that it is RNA-programmable such that Cas9 can be guided to any genomic loci complementary to a 20-nt RNA, single guide RNA (sgRNA), to cleave double stranded DNA, allowing the introduction of wanted mutations. The mechanism of benzimidazoles resistance is linked to single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on beta-tubulin isotype-1 gene. The three known SNPs responsible for BZ resistance are F200Y, F167Y and E198A on the beta-tubulin isotype-1. For the first time, the detection of DNA sequences, related to HIV (found in AIDS patients), using Methylene Blue (MB) as the redox indicator was performed. The voltametric signals have been investigated on bared chitosan (CS) modified; probe immobilized (DNA single strand) and target-hybridized (DNA double strand) electrodes sequentially by means of Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV). The response of hybridization between the probe and perfectly complementary, double-base mismatch, single-base mismatch of analyzed targets were clearly identified.

A complementary DNA encoding a new bovine tryptase isoform (here named BLT) was cloned and sequenced from lung tissue. Analysis of sequence indicates the pres-ence of a 26-amino acid prepro-sequence and a 245 amino acid catalytic domain. It contains six different residues when compared with the previously characterized tryptase from bovine liver capsule (BLCT), with the most signifi-cant difference residing at the primary specificity S1 pocket.

We report here a new method for inhibition of RNA viruses induced by dsDNA. We demonstrated that both long dsDNA molecules and short interfering DNA with a sequence complementary to that of viral RNA inhibited tobacco mosaic virus expression and prevented virus spread. Also, the expression of the HIV-1 gp41 gene in HeLa cells was inhibited by com-plementary short interfering DNA.
