Cultural diversity respect
-
The results of the study revealed that, prior to their participation in the study, the youths had low level of cultural diversity respect. In nine months of their learning action, the youths cultivated their respect to the level that they pre-determined. From their learning action, a constructivist learning model was innovated.

In this study a total of 34 bacterial cultures were isolated from Uttarakhand (Rishikesh) acidic soil (pH 5.6) were screened for plant growth promoting traits. Isolations were carried out on nutrient and kings B agar media in which colony forming unit (CFU) count was log10 6.94 and log10 5.04 respectively.

Present study was aimed to understand the bacterial community composition, diversity, richness, carrying capacity and population dynamics present on soybean leaf in response to Panchagavya sprays using DGGE (Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis) and molecular fingerprinting technique. The seeds of soybean variety JS-335 were collected, surface sterilized and used in a pot culture study. In-vivo pot experiment was carried out in four sets.

Black banded disease of mango, caused by Peziotrichum corticolum (Massee) Subramanian, is becoming severe for the last three to four years in all the mango growing regions. Morphological and cultural characteristics of the pathogen were studied. The identity of the fungus was confirmed. The fungus showed maximum radial growth on host extract dextrose agar on 12th day after incubation at 27±1oC. Culture of P. corticolum exhibited diversity with respect to cultural characters like type of the growth, mycelial colour, pigmentation and colony margin.

Rice crop harbours diverse beneficial plant growth promoting diazotrophs which mostly plays a significant role in supplementing not only N fertilizer but also gives indirect benefit to the crops by improving their productivity and immunity. Considering all the benefits from PGP diazotrophs, rice rhizospheric soil samples were collected randomly from 20 different locations of Jorhat district, Assam. Altogether, 53 rhizobacterial cultures were isolated in non-selective TSA media.

Cultural and morphological variability studies on three different media viz., Potato Dextrose Agar, Richard’s Synthetic Agar and Czapek’s Dox Agar revealed considerable variation among the isolates of A. burnsii indicated the existence of variability in the pathogen. Moreover, Potato Dextrose Agar and Czapek’s Dox Agar were found as an excellent media to support the growth and spore formation of isolates of A. burnsii, respectively.

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) are a group of rhizospheric bacteria, found in association with plant roots and enhance the growth of plant directly or indirectly. To isolate multi-trait PGPR, total 7 soil sample were collected from sugarcane rhizosphere with diverse previous cropping pattern. Total 38 distinct isolates were obtained in pure culture from above collected samples, were screened for their ability of plant growth promoting characters in in vitro conditions. Out of this, 100% showed antagonistic potential, 55.26%, 42.11% and 52.

Indian soils are rich in microbial diversity, especially fluorescent pseudomonads (FPs) have drawn much attention worldwide because of their plant growth promotion ability by the production of plant growth promoting substance like Indole acetic acid (IAA). In this context, the present study explored for optimization and characterization of IAA production by our isolate Pseudomonas sp VSMKU 4050. The maximum IAA production was observed in King’s B broth (KBB) supplemented with 0.7% L – tryptophan.

Swine wastewater poses chemical and biological risks because it contains high concentrations of ammonia and diverse species of pathogens. Herein, a vetiver-Dictyosphaerium sp. co-culture for the rapid removal of ammonia and the effective inactivation of pathogens was developed. Plants and microalgae benefited mutually and co-utilized the nutrients in the wastewater in the co-culture. The pathogens were inactivated by reactive oxygen species that were released by the microalgae as well as the supersaturated concentrations of dissolved oxygen in the enclosed bioreactor.

Malaysia, being a multi-racial society, faces the challenges of creating knowledge sharing capability in organisations, as cultural values are often reflected in the workplace by individual employees. For organisations, it is not clear whether this diversity has resulted in any form of competitive advantage. Studies have shown that various communities in Malaysia do not bring their respective cultures to work, and as such the company values prevail. This research is based on the demographic study of Informal Knowledge Sharing in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

People at work in organizations today are part of a new era. The institutions of society and the people who make them work are challenged in many and very special ways. Society at large increasingly expects high performance and high quality of life to go hand-in-hand, considers ethics and social responsibility core values, respects the vast potential of demographic and cultural diversity among people, and accepts the imprint of a globalization on everyday living and organizational competitiveness.
