Luận án "Một số đặc điểm di truyền ở mức độ phân tử của 15 giống lợn nội Việt Nam" được hoàn thành với mục tiêu nhằm xác định được đa dạng di truyền, khoảng cách di truyền và cấu trúc di truyền của 15 giống lợn nội dựa trên 19 chỉ thị microsatellite. Xác định được mối quan hệ phát sinh loài của 15 giống lợn nội thông qua đa hình trình tự gen Cytochrome B ty thể.

Trong Báo cáo khoa học: Phân biệt thịt trâu và thịt bò bằng kỹ thuật PCR, kỹ thuật PCR được ứng dụng để phân biệt thịt bò và thịt trâu với mục tiêu xây dựng hai quy trình PCR-bò và PCR-trâu. Mồi xuôi (F2) được thiết kế chung cho hai quy trình dựa vào vùng tương đồng trên gen cytochrome b của bò và trâu để giảm chi phí. Còn mồi ngược RC2 (PCR-bò) và RBU2 (PCR-trâu) được thiết kế dựa vào vùng không tương đồng trên gen cytochrome b của bò và trâu. Kết quả thu được PCR-bò, PCR-trâu khuếch đại sản phẩm có kích thước 839bp và 763bp.

Introducing site-directed mutations in surface-exposed residues of subunit II of the heme aa3 cytochrome c oxidase of Paracoccus denitrificans, we analyze the kinetic parameters of electron transfer from reduced horse heart cytochrome c. The Na+-translocating NADH:quinone oxidoreductase (Na+-NQR) from Vibrio alginolyticus was inactivated by reactive oxygen species. Highest Na+-NQR activity was observed in anaerobically prepared membranes that exhibited 1 : 1 coupling of NADH oxidation and Q reduction activities (1.6 UÆmg)1). Optical and EPR spectroscopy documented the presence of b-type cytochromes, a [2Fe)2S] cluster and an organic radical signal in anaerobically pre- pared membranes from V. alginolyticus.

Cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) is an extracellular flavocytochrome con-taining flavin and b-type heme, and plays a key role in cellulose degrada-tion by filamentous fungi. To investigate intermolecular electron transfer from CDH to cytochrome c, Phe166, which is located in the cytochrome domain and approaches one of propionates of heme, was mutated to Tyr, and the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of the mutant (F166Y) were compared with those of the wild-type (WT) enzyme.

CYP7B1, a cytochrome P450 enzyme, metabolizes several steroids involved in hormonal signaling including 5a-androstane-3b,17b-diol (3b-Adiol), an estrogen receptor agonist, and dehydroepiandrosterone, a precursor for sex hormones.
