Gia, Re, and Da Do Rivers are the main surface water resources providing fresh water to the habitants of Hai Phong City. They are at risk of water pollution due to the release of multiple waste streams along the rivers. The main objective of this study is to establish water quality models for Gia, Re, and Da Do Rivers using the MIKE 11 Ecolab model.

The authors applied the desk-study method to collect and review literature research, select a group of six criteria, and then applied the criteria to assess the system's sustainability based on Likert's 3-point scale. The results show that criteria scores ranged from 1.9 points to 2.5 points, while the total score of the whole system is 12.9 points - reaching an average sustainability level.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the technological feasibility of biological filtration process for Mn control in Lorne WTP. This thesis consists of eight chapters. Project background and research objectives are described in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 presents an extensive literature review covering the nature of manganese, manganese analytical methods, manganese control methods, the nature of MOB and biological control of Mn in drinking water treatment. The materials and methods used throughout the experimental investigation for this study are described in Chapter 3.

The rejects and membrane wash water were also treated in the bioreactor, resulted in complete removal of ClO4 ¯ through this approach. One of the easiest and efficient way of water conservation to solve drinking water scarcity is rooftop water harvesting. To evaluate the performance of the first flush with micromesh filter system, inflow and outflow of the rooftop water samples were analysed for pH, EC, TDS, SAL and TSS parameters. In general, the PH, electrical conductivity, and TDS of the roof water samples were within the drinking water standards and the first flush with micromesh filter system was found to reduce TDS values.

Fresh water pollution is the major problem because many rivers and streams are being polluted with pesticides, industrial waste, and sewage.
